Does anyone honestly give a damn that Obama's Black?

Seriously - I mean, okay, he's black, thats a pretty big accomplishment. But do you honestly care at all? I think that if we end up having all this controversy over his race, we just kind of end up moving backwards. I hate him because of his ideas, and I wouldn't give a damn if he was black, white, green or blue.

You've listened to his speeches and you hate him? I've heard nothing that would illicit hate. He's very positive on people. I'd suggest your hate is based on what your being fed by your ideological sources. I won't vote for McCain, but I don't hate him.

And to answer the question, I have no problem with his race, but I'm pretty confident a significant number of people will never vote for him because of his skin color. Even in this forum, I'd guess that whatever % of readers won't vote for a black man, probably won't admit it.
 
he's not black.... his mother was white.

Does it bother me about his 'black side'....only if he makes it a problem, which I highly doubt he will because of his white unbiased mothers upbringing....might have been a different story had he been a true black man brought up in say a "black power" family looking to 'take back from the whites'.

...and with me being in Canada, I don't really care either way ...

:rolleyes: sad to say its still like that and probably will be for many generations because of the prejudice that lives on from old teaches of hate.:nod: PLus some cultures just don't mix well...hell thats why we were all put on different islands to begin with.;):D
 
While i think people do make an issue in the back of their miond about him being black, they dont make note of it simply because as society we are supposed to be past that.

the media on the other hand thrives in drama like this and well they love this shit to much they will bring it up and make it a popular issue if it means more $$
 
I could care less. I do fear what may happen to him if he is elected. I'm sure there are a great number of people in this country that would care all to much that he is black... whether its half, a quarter or an eighth...He is in fact of African decent.

thats what a friend of mine in Indy says too.:nod:...she said hes likely to get assassinated because there are still too many KKK's around. Sad that... I wonder how many will vote for the old guy because of the fact of him being white versus obama's black. If I lived in the US, I'd vote Obama just for what he stands for, not for his skin.

I dont care what his skin color is...he stands for issues that go against what I want for my country so I wont vote for him.

as far as assassination by the KKK goes...if an Islamic terrorist cant get around the security surrounding the president then I seriously doubt the members of the KKK could do any better. There are plenty of people who would like to see Bush dead...hasnt happened yet (thank God!)
