At this point in time it is not government programs that are ruining the economy, it's government leadership.

Do you ever hope to see Social Security when you retire? If that fund had not been robbed for decades by both Democrats and Republicans, it would be entirely solvent for the foreseeable future. It was and is a great idea, ruined by government subversion.
 
The republicans got a taste of what the democrats in congress had for prior 40 years. power corrupts and they proved it.

but this do nothing democrat congress has shown they are no different than their predecessors. all about power. do what ever it takes to maintain control

Before Mr. Bush, the largest deficit was created by Mr. Reagan when he cut taxes, but did not get spending cuts to go along with it. Before Reagan, there had never been substantial deficits.

I thought it was Bush, Jr, that created the largest deficit? Of course, should you take the time to compare the deficit to GNP the honor of the biggest deficit goes to FDR but why quibble when the facts don't support your assertion.

Well when all you can do is spout the party blog and its talking points being called upon to back up your cut and paste becomes to much of a challenge. The concept I'm pointing to is called "original thought", which has two requirements.....the ability to think coupled with the ability develop new and original thoughts. Excluding us, I challenge you to point to one in this section of the forum.

I didnt read the above posts, but it does matter that hes black. The fact is being an African American will almot certainly change his opinions on things, he will have expierienced things that a 45ish caucasain will never know of. It will change his persepctive on life, thus changing his perspective on how this nation will be guided. Is it a bad thing? Not at all, if anyhting it could be refreshing for this nation. Although Im not voting for him, it has nothing to do with him being black.

hm.. IRT the OP,

I dont think him being black/mixed is as much an issue as Hillary being a female. I think he has more of a shot of winning then she would of strictly based on Race/Gender biased. As sad as that is (the biased-ness of this country.. im not commenting on any political stance of either)
