Vegetarianism

I am not vegetarian because the protein choices seem limited and tasteless to me. But I have respect for the idea of it.

I'm thinking of being a vegetarian, after a long personal debate. Any vegetarians on here?
I was a vegetarian for 2 years.
The food was delicious. I am big into 'knowing my body' so to speak. I am healthier eating meat vs. not eating meat.

IMO, we were made to eat meat, fruits, vegetables, nuts, etc.
Americans consume more meat than our bodies need though.

Balance is what is needed as with pretty much everything else in life.

(just my 2 cents for what it's worth)

If you do decide to try it though I have some great recipe books that I could mail you.

I'm not big on red meat, because I find it incredibly difficult to digest and I feel sick during the process of digestion. I rarely eat other meats (pork and such) so I wouldn't miss it if it were gone. I could not live without chicken though. I eat chicken in some form almost everyday!

You'd probably really enjoy white turkey meat as well then.

A red meat you might want to try is Elk. Most lean red meat there is. You actually need to add oil to cook it, it is so lean. Very yummy.

Eh anybody who says veggie burgers taste just like meat don't have great tastes buds... I never got the whole portabella mushroom thing either... meat tastes like meat.... veggies tastes like veggies... :ninja

Yeah, but there is no reason to eat meat at all. its wasteful, pollutes and is overall more unhealthy. The overconsumption of meat in America contributes to cancer, diabetes and obesity with all of the cholesterol in it.

My gf's mom is a vegie, so she's lending me some recipe books, but thank you for your kindness, Grace. :)
