Student Tasering at the University of Florida

That was uncalled for, but to be honest you don't struggle with cops i mean wtf people even if you are in the right struggling just pisses them off while the fact they arrested or detained you was wrong on their part you being stupid enough to struggle with someone who has a taser and whos law enforcement makes me not want to feel to bad for them.

He was right to struggle though.

Campus security shouldn't even have tasers

They were not just campus security. Most florida university "security officers" are actually just police officers stationed at the campus. There are laws in almost any state that struggling with a police officer no matter why after you have be detained is a crime. Regardless of why.

I totally disagree with this kid's behavior. He acted like a child. He took the podium in an aggressive demeanor and whether he realizes it or not that demeanor can and is looked at as violent, yes words can be considered violent. Maybe he should take an ethics class and get an edumacation in regards to that.

He was asked to step away and because he 'thinks' his behavior is acceptable (which it isn't) he is then all butt-hurt/shocked that the police are telling him to leave. So then what does the rocket scientist do? He then decides to make more of a scene and resist arrest, cuss at the cops, etc.

If 5 to 7 cops were around him and the cuffs were still not on him, it is only rational to say that is because the guy was still resisting arrest. I'm not surprised that he got tazzed. He was out of control and would not cooperate.

We do have a right to speak our mind, but at the same token we are responsible and held accountable for our behavior. And how we choose to come across to others is part of that behavior that we are held accountable for. The guy was acting like an unpredictable pompous horsearse and imo from what I've seen on the 3 videos and read in the two articles, the cops actions were justified.
