I didn't think it was possible to see anything new in the Royal Rumble, but my jaw hit the floor when Morrison pulled that "spider man" move.

Moment of the night- hands down.

That'd be pretty cool if they brought in Sting.

I lol'd HARD at R Truth failing to skin the cat during that rumble match tonight.

Apparently during iMPACT Bischoff said Sting, Nash and Booker were not coming back to TNA. More fuel to the fire. All will be revealed in 3 weeks.

Fuck Eric Bischoff and FUCK TNA, that BUSH LEAGUE show is beneath these LEGENDS OF THE SPORT anyways, it was a great moment to see Kevin Nash perform again in a real show in Madison Square FUCKING Garden, something he'd never be able to do if he wrestled for TNA, I think it's great that WWE gave Nash and Booker a chance to do that again even if it was a one time thing, and it would be great for them to bring in Sting as well.

It wasn't in MSG, it was the TD garden in Boston (used to be the Fleetcentre).

Lawler vs Miz at Elimination Chamber, I have no problem with that actually, Lawler has been pretty good lately and Miz is...well Miz. I expect then Cena to win the Raw chamber and it be Cena vs Miz at Wrestlemania.

lol oh I could have swore I heard them say MSG during the PPV, STILL my point remains the same, TNA is beneath these guys and the only reason any of them are there is because they desperately need the money. And I have no problem with Lawler/Miz either, you know what's going to happen, Michael Cole will cost Lawler the belt and the ANONYMOUS GM will make a match between Lawler and Cole at Wrestlemania.

Raw was pretty meh, more a building block for Wrestlemania than a solid show, but the video that aired...hmmmmm. It COULD be Sting.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2mkkwiA7_NM

More likely that it's The Undertaker imo. Though I have heard that the're really keen on getting Sting, not sure why that want an old, washed up wrestler, probably because he's the biggest name in wrestling who's never been in the WWE.

-- The deal with Booker T returning has been on the cards for a while, as he has talked with WWE about wanting to return for months. He is currently going to be used as a SmackDown announcer, but may become a manager or Tough Enough trainer down the road. Kevin Nash wanted a run as the grey-haired Big Daddy Cool but was asked to dye his hair. He will likely sign a Legends contract and may be a part-time player, maybe as a developmental coach or brought in for special angles like Roddy Piper is.

-- With Nash and Booker originally planned for the TNA Main Event Mafia angle, plans were rewritten quickly. Bobby Lashley was approached, but had no interest in returning. Sting did not sign a new TNA deal either. AJ Styles is the new leader of "They", which Meltzer notes makes zero sense, pointing out that Styles was the one threatened on TV with the presence of "they". That said, Meltzer also notes that it's the best thing that could have happened to TNA, because Nash and Booker would have just been a burden.

-- "It’s better that TNA was forced to build the top around younger guys for the long haul, but it sure made them look Mickey Mouse this week."

-- The mysterious videos on Raw are for The Undertaker and not for Sting. Sting hasn't signed with the company, although there's nothing to say that he won't. The hyped Raw coming from California is irrelevant as Sting now lives in Dallas. The problem is that too many people have now convinced themselves that the video is for Sting when it isn't, so there's always the chance of pushing hard to sign Sting and debuting him anyway.

-- "Mania is in Atlanta, and Sting was, along with Ric Flair, one of the two enduring faces of WCW, based in Atlanta, from the purchase of the company in 1988 until its demise in 2001. Of course, Bill Goldberg also made sense, as he was a bigger star than Sting ever was, and that didn’t materialize even though some key people in the company were pushing for it"

-- The current plan for Wrestlemania is Undertaker vs. Wade Barrett. If that falls through, the back-up is Undertaker and Kane (yes, I know, TNA-riffic) vs. The Corre. If Taker vs. Barrett happens, The rest of the Corre will face three men from Nexus. Punk vs. Orton, Miz vs. Cena and Edge vs. Del Rio are definite, and Rey Mysterio has personally asked for a match with Cody Rhodes in order to try and elevate him. Jerry Lawler will wrestle, but it's not sure who he'll face. It could be Alex Riley, or it could be Michael Cole who has been learning to take bumps. MITB is 50/50 on if it happens or not.

-- Donna Goldsmith left the WWE last week, despite being essentially the second most powerful person in the company behind Vince McMahon himself. She was the spearhead behind the softening of the company (i.e., going PG) and getting the huge Mattel deal. With her gone, it's likely that the company will undergo some huge changes, and there's a fair few eyes on the PG rating as many in the company aren't happy with it, even seeing it written into John Cena promos to tell the audience that they are just as unhappy with the limitations as the fans are. It's unlikely that it'll change, though, as sponsors have been made promises about it. Plus, it would hurt Linda on her planned Senate run in 2012.

-- GREAT NEWS! THE DIVA SEARCH IS COMING BACK! And probably returning to Raw or SmackDown, or both. Former Diva Search contestants include Layla (who won in 2006 despite the company not liking her), Maryse (who they desperately wanted to win, but got voted off immediately), Kristal (who went out with Matt Striker and then married Bobby Lashley), Michelle McCool (pushed by her then-husband to join - worked out well for him...), Eve Torres and Amy Zidian, famously fired for asking who Vickie Guerrero was and making fun of her looks. Ironic, considering the abuse Vickie gets from the WWE itself.

-- The Raw Rumble added over a million viewers during the match, and the overrun peaked at 4.04, the first 4+ in ages.

-- Scott Hall is heading back to rehab, voluntarily, to treat himself for alcohol addiction and possible mental issues too.

-- If any of the European stars getting tryouts on the TNA tour are going to be signed, it will probably be Mark Hawkins. Johnny Moss and Lionheart didn't get anything special review-wise.

-- Abyss is selling injuries suffered by Crimson. He'll be back soon.

-- Who the hell is Crimson?

-- Something is up with the Hart Foundation. Tyson Kidd is being buried, DH Smith was pulled from the Rumble, and Natalya is being called fat on air, and lost her title at the Rumble. Someone in the company says that something is definitely going on, but Meltzer didn't elaborate.

-- The next batch of Legends Roundtable discussions on WWE 24/7 will involve Bret Hart as a panellist, focusing on Greatest Rivalries and Canada respectively.

-- Survivor Series may be on the chopping block again.

-- Despite having poor advances for most live events and TV tapings, WWE are doing exceptional walk-up business lately. Basically, tickets are slow to sell, but end up selling loads close to the event.

-- Cody Rhodes is selling his injuries with a band aid on his nose, wherever he goes. Old school-style.

I have to go with the people who think it is indeed Sting because he did not renew his TNA Contract and The Undertaker tends to use more of a paranormal aspect in his videos that always gives him away right off the bat. Besides, when seeing the video it is ironic they did not get any shots of the back of the jacket and the long black trench coat seemed a bit more slim. Along with the whole "abandon house" set reminds me of the "abandon building" in the day time which Sting appears in for his TNA Titantron, but that is just my own thoughts as always.

I thought that Sting stated a LONG time ago that he would never sign with WWE because of his personal beliefs?

Well it is not official that he is coming to the WWE, however, there have been many upon many of wrestlers who have said that they would never go back to the WWE or join the WWE for any reason and have still joined the WWE moments later. Bret Hart is a clear example in my opinion. I believe Sting's main concern was how he would be treated and used overall. If that is, indeed, his promotional video then things seem to be on track. Besides, I am sure if Sting does come to the WWE it is will be on most of his terms because I can not see it happening any other way to be quite honest.

There are a number of things that point this to being Sting ;

- The number's used in that video are similar casing to Sting's letting back in the day

- The contract thing

- HOF place

Now for the Taker thing

- Sting's trench coat is and never was that long, Taker's was

- Taker is due back.

I know, not very good examples perhaps, and I wouldn't be THAT devastated if it was Taker because I like Taker, but it would be cool if it was Sting.

If Sting's Trench Coat is not long then Husky Harris is next in line to be Cruiser Weight Champion. Besides, the date shown on the promo is the date of Monday Night RAW and not Friday Night SmackDown!. The Undertaker's business is with Kane and the rest of The Corre. Plus, Monday Night RAW will be in Fresno, California. Not that far from Sting's hometown which is in Venice Beach, California. Again, just my own thoughts on the matter.

NEWZ from DAVE~

With added bits from my good self.

-- Undertaker v Wade Barrett is, as of now, OFF. They have a new Wrestlemania main event planned for The Undertaker, something big, involving Shawn Michaels. Sting had not been contacted by WWE as of last week, but there has been interest from both sides since. WWE are at least curious as to bringing him in, and Sting is seemingly open to offers. Sting was removed from the TNA roster page this week, but he has been in contact with Dixie Carter. Taker's rehab is going as planned, so he's being booked in for a singles match.

-- Kevin Nash was, as the story goes, under contract with TNA until the Friday before the Rumble, when Dixie granted him a release in order to sign with WWE. Nash told people that he threatened Dixie with doing interviews that would expose things that he knows about TNA, this getting his release. Dixie herself said the reasons were between the two of them and no one else.

-- WWE got great publicity from the Super Bowl when Aaron Rodgers (Super Bowl MVP) was shown with his replica WWE world title, likely given to him by Ric Flair through Kevin Greene. Rodgers then went on Dave Letterman and was given, on air, a replica WWE spinner belt too. Dana White, learning the lesson that Vince McMahon is #1 in wrestling for a reason, sent a replica UFC belt to Rodgers, but Rodgers hasn't bothered to be seen with it in public.

-- "If nothing else, it makes walking around with one of those belts perhaps not look so geeky because, if you don’t know this, now you know, there is nothing, even at a wrestling convention let alone at a live event, that has most people rolling their eyes more than someone walking around with one of those belts on their shoulder. It’s cool if you buy it for home and all that, and do whatever you want with it, and do pretend matches for it, but if you walk around the concourse like a wrestler with the belt on your shoulder it is the equivalent of being caught picking your nose. This is not my opinion because I honestly don’t care, I’m just saying I hear what people say and see it at every live show I go to, and it’s like, don’t be that guy. And God knows, if you are going up to wrestlers at the hotel for autographs, do not walk around with it on your shoulder. Unless you are the quarterback whose team just won the Super Bowl, then you can do anything you want."

Of course, time was I owned a replica belt, used to wear it round the house. I gave it to the black kid next door when I was 14 for a Christmas present.

-- HHH is still scheduled to return, but is being held off because there's no plan for him to win the big matches (Rumble, Elimination Chamber), thus it makes more sense to keep him away until it's a clear field for him to get the Sheamus feud kicked off. He's currently trying to learn as much about the business backstage as possible, in preparation for taking over from Vince.

My theory is this, I believe (and Bryan hinted at this) that R Truth is the odd guy out in the Chamber Match (no, not because he's black silly) so the beating he got on Monday could lead to him being pulled from the match, or have him being beat up at the PPV by Nexus. Then in the actual match Sheamus is out 5th (which means he starts the match) and the 6th entrant is Triple H, Triple H then after a while eliminates Sheamus, but Sheamus comes back even later and costs him the match, and voila, match booked. I might actually post that on The Board~

-- Ric Flair is claiming that TNA owe him a significant amount of money, which is why he asked for a 'draw' on the Europe tour. Most people in TNA tend to believe him, as TNA are notorious with who they pay on time and who gets paid late. Flair is on a contract specifying the amount of dates he works within it. If they go over that quota, they must pay him extra per date. He went over that quota, so it's likely that TNA do owe him cash, but they refused to pay him because Janice Carter is still being strict with the budget, and TNA told Flair that they had done it before with Dustin Rhodes and gotten into trouble (likely, he went off and bought cocaine with it), which angered Flair as he believed the company were comparing him to Dustin.

-- The increase in the Impact rating is being accredited to both the end of the football season and, more specifically, the Angle/Jarrett feud which is doing the highest show segments and seemingly attracting more viewers per household, i.e., women. A similar thing happened in 2000 with the Kurt/HHH/Stephenie McMahon love triangle storyline too.

-- Kurt Angle is in talks with TNA about setting up a TNA film division. Worked so well for WWE, didn't it?

The last thing TNA need is another money loser, WWE can afford to absorb the losses their film division makes, TNA couldn't.

-- Matt Hardy is starting to win people over backstage, coming over as friendly and easy to work with, and trying hard to lose weight and get into shape.

-- Chelsea was fired. No one cares.

Oh and another funny story from a few weeks back. Basically this member of The Board~ sent an email to Dave containing research on WCW and WWE PPV buyrate numbers which he requested. Anyway this member is a female but has a man's name on the forum (reason being she called her CAW on the Smackown vs Raw video games this name), so even though she used her real name with username in brackets in the email to Dave, he still called her him several times when he was talking about this on the show a few weeks back. Oh how we did laugh. Dave later apologised on The Board~

I guess it was finally revealed tonight in a way. The mysterious videos have to do with The Undertaker returning, however, the 21st is on a Monday. Which means the whole Wade Barrett vs The Undertaker does not look plausible right now. I am thinking it shall be The Undertaker taking on CM Punk since he is the new leader of Nexus and it was Nexus that screwed The Undertaker in the Buried Alive Match...

...or maybe in a weird turn of events he shall attack the "real" person behind it all in a sense. John Cena could be the culprit behind the attack. Hey, I'm going for a weird turn of events here. Give me a break. :D
