North Dakota has better badlands than South Dakota. Seriously! The North Unit of Theodore Roosevelt National Park is breathtaking. There are quite a number of historic places. Wide open spaces with fresh air. Friendly folks who will come to help you if you land up in a jam.
Companies in big cities bump NoDakkers to the top of the hire list because we're well known for our work ethic. We call in sick on the day of our own funerals and are back on the job next day.
When does the winter start up there?
Don't feel bad, the only reason I traveled through South Dakota a lot was to get to Montana and Idaho, and I didn't do much detouring in S.D LOL
