His address would should up if he called from a land line right?
But how would he know it was a choking unless it was outdoors?
But lets say it was him that called and the cop went to his house..it would be the cops error by going up to a witness as a suspect..if that was the case.
Major error...while possible not likely.
Which makes me think the call originated from within the house with the violence.
Around here alot of houses dont have numbers..if one was in a hurry he could very well go up to a wrong house.
I am just guessing here..but i think its possible the cop went to the wrong house...but was given the right address
Except the article SPECIFICALLY states that he went to the address provided by the 911 call. Which leads me to believe that it was either a wrong address given OR landmarks were given (such as "I'm at 116, but it's the house next door to me") that weren't relayed. A lot of houses don't have landlines...and, even if they do, they don't use them when calling 911.
Bottom line is the officer went to what he was under the impression was the suspect's house. So when you think you're face to face w/ a violent man who is telling you that his dog isn't going to attack you, what would YOU do???
For the record, I've been drinking tonight, so my responses right now may not make much sense. I apologize in advance, LOL
