Major League Baseball - 2011 Season

I have been watching my Giants get molested by the Braves all weekend. They have already lost the series, I hope they can salvage this game. Too bad it's not looking very good.

How is your team doing? :willy_nilly:

They started looking like a failure...now we look at least mediocre. This team is the Boston Red Sox. My wife's team is stuck in reverse because their division is tough, but not as tough as the AL East. Her team is the Milwaukee Brewers.

They started looking like a failure...now we look at least mediocre. This team is the Boston Red Sox. My wife's team is stuck in reverse because their division is tough, but not as tough as the AL East. Her team is the Milwaukee Brewers.

We started out looking like we didn't deserve the trophy last year. So far we are looking "okay" but not as good as we could look.

I'm always keeping an eye on Boston. Mostly because I don't like them. As far as the Brewers, Prince Fielder can bring the pain with the wood. :surrender

I was raised watching the A's, but I always liked the Giants better. My Grandpa told me to never be an SF or BOS fan. I can't let him down TWICE, so I hate them by default. :p

understood...I can respect the Grandfather thing. It would have been one thing to hate the Sox, just because there are a$$holes in Boston....and yes I am a Masshole

The Giants have had a rough start to the year, even Timmy looks very beatable lately.

Yeah, it seems they are either having really GOOD days or really BAD days. No real in-between.

Tonight they are off, tomorrow they face the Pirates.

It's still very early in the season which is good. I don't typically start to worry unless they look like this after the AS break.

My Cubs have been... odd. We've been 1-1, 2-2, 3-3, 4-4, 5-5, 6-6, 7-7, and 8-8 so far. We're 8-9 right now, so there's a decent chance we'll be 9-9 as well. First major league team in history to pull off what we've done so far.

Tigers swept the White Sox in spectacular fashion this weekend...we actually looked like we had both a good offense AND a decent pitchers. Crazy shit. :p

Now if only we could do that in September...

My buddy is a die hard Tigers fan. I'm always glad to see an underdog looking good during the season. :thumbup

Hmm, speaking of my dislike of the White Sox...

What teams can you just not stand? My list consists of:

Cardinals
White Sox
Yankees

I obviously hate the Cardinals due them being our bitter rivals, in probably the third best rivalry in all of baseball... only behind the Red Sox/Yankees and Giants/Dodgers. The White Sox because they're the other team in Chicago, and I hate Ozzie Guillen. Then of course the Yankees, because of all Steinbrenner did trying to kill the damn game through his ridiculous free agent spending amongst other things.

Boston Red Sox
LA Dodgers
San Diego Padres

I hate Boston because my Grandpa hated Boston. He told me never to be an SF or BOS fan. I already let him down once, haha. I can't do it twice. I hate the Dodgers because of the rivalry we have with them that goes back to the Polo Grounds days. I hate the Padres because they have Mat Latos, that guy is a tool.
