Tomorrow sees the kick off of the new Premier League season 2010/11

What is your hopes and predictions for the new season?

For the first time ever, I will be neutral, though if the sale(and gets rid of the current coach, though I won't say anything bad towards Liverpool) goes ahead though I don't particularly want the Chinese government or a Syrian to be in charge of a particular club. Though anyone is better than the clowns in charge right now

Should be a good season once again, hope to see many goals and possibly a few upsets. It'll be interesting to see how this new squad rule affects teams and how the new players will settle in. I think the main Title contenders will be Man United, Chelsea, Arsenal and possibly Manchester City with all their money (it's whether their team can gel that is the question), I'm not discounting Liverpool but I think it will be difficult for them really. Maybe Tottenham could mount a challenge too. Also if Everton could ever start as they finish they'd maybe be challenging (they got 39 points from their last 19 games last sesason, but only 22 from their opening 19)

I expect to see Blackpool go straight back down, Ian Holloway's a good manager but I think they just aren't good enough for this level.

Well being a Geordie I'm trying to be optimistic for Newcastle but I really can't see this being anything other than a dog fight, if we stay up I'll be happy. I am dissapointed in the fact that we are opening up against Manchester United, if we get anything out of that game I'd be delighted.

Yeah, no disrespect to Blackpool, but they are heading down me thinks

Nothing can be harder, but there should be easier teams after that:24:

I'm just happy that West Ham seem stable for the first time in a few years. Hoping and expecting a mid table finish and hopefully a good cup run.

For all the hubbub, I think the big 4 will return to the status quo. With Arsenal always starting well, Liverpool looking good, Chelsea weaker but still the only ones close to the level of Man Utd.
I think Tottenham will be found out this time round, expect them to crash and burn.

It's Champions League that might be disappointing this year for English teams.

Two more potential relegation teams, Wigan and WBA seem almost destined to be relegated. I know it is early days, and other teams have to play, but you can see why

West Brom's problem has always been they play good football in the Premier League, that shouldn't be the way for promoted teams because it can be exploited very easily by teams better than them, case in point today. I'm not saying go out there and kick the shit out of the opposition but something akin to that. Stoke is a good example of that.

6-0, 6-0, 6-0, and 6-0 fourth one of the season so far....looks like the players have recovered from the WC :24:

At least Mark Hughes' Fulham had the decency to instil some fight in their team against ManUre

Man City or shall I say C(sh)it(t)y have no chance of winning the Premier League, only 3-0 against Roy "Hopeless and lack of ideas" Hodgson? Pffft

Liverpool were shite tonight. I don't think Man City were that good either, sure they attacked a bit but a good team would have exploited the space they were left. The top 4 reads Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United and Manchester City. That's likely to be it in May.

If they don't get rid of Laurel and Hardy, plus Hodgson soon, they are likely to be relegation candidates

Don't you just love football when you have your goalkeeper sent off, then you go a goal further down, and then the team are able to have a score draw!!! :24:

A gunner's fan here.... It was awesome to see fat sam's face yesterday :24: I have had too much of his physical shitty plans to "destroy" young and weak arsenal. :ninja

The only real difference yesterday was how good Walcott's finish was, I mean Blackburn could have tried all day and not scored a goal that good. He's took the touch round the defender and smashed it into the corner. Blackburn I believe matched Arsenal for the passing in the game (moreso first half) and they battled well but just lacked the quality. Arsenal deserved to win because they were better in the second half than Blackburn were in the first half.
