The Trials and Tribulations of One Freak of Nature

When I got to work it was clear but by the time I finished feeding horses it looked like it was starting to cloud over. Kinda hard to tell in the dark but the stars were disappearing. Anyway...about 10 minutes ago I thought I heard a loud rumble of thunder. I went dashing outside because Annie and her nanny mare were left outside tonight and I was told that if it started raining I should bring them in the barn. It's easier to move horses when it's not pouring rain. I got outside and it was not raining and it didn't look like it was going to start raining either. There was no evidence of any more thunder or lightning. It didn't really look that cloudy either. There might be some high, thin clouds because the stars are dim but nothing to suggest a thundershower is on the way. So I raced Kit Kat back to the show barn (and lost) and went back in. I have no idea what I heard.
