Annoying pronunciations

:24:

Judge Judy today was getting up some young blokes for their pronunciation.

They were saying "marlboro red and smooth"...but it came out "marbo red and smooth".....she gave them heaps:24:

I can't say marlboro. I try, but my tongue just gets frozen and it doesn't come out right at all. I don't know how I say it, but I know Matt laughs.

:24:

and FebUARY with no R, and Wensdy instead of wednesday...(Ok...I dont say wed nes day..but I say it Proply)

Proply:24:

I do say Wensdy. Or closer to that than Wednesday. I guess it's more when's day...

Okay, that's funny...Kim's post was NOT there when I posted mine...LMFAO Too
funny.

:D

i guess i will annoy lots of people as some words very difficult to pronounced :)

if i can avoid this word i do :p
like if i am at the shops and try to find something and i can not find it and have to ask for help i make sure i ask different to avoid it if can happen

like one time i was looking for bed sheets and i had to ask ..
but i worry if i mistake the shit with sheets on the pronunciation so i asked for bed linen :24:
and it is more correct to ask anyway

I say pasta....with a short a like in ant.

not pahsta...or paysta

oh...and its "piqued" my interest/curiosity...not peeked/peaked:ninja

(thats just another general spelling lesson, and not directed to anyone...its a word I see misspelled a lot)

It does bug me when the Yanks (are you a Yank, by the way??) insist they know how to say words properly when clearly, they don't.

Icecream is one word - NOT two! Pizza is said 'Peet-sa' NOT 'Pit-zaa'.

And could the Yanks learn how to say people's names correctly? Aaron is NOT pronounced as 'Erin', it's said 'Aah-ron' - at least that's as close as I can get to writing it.

Australia is NOT pronounced 'Or-Stray-Lia' it's simply 'Ah-Stray-Lia' or even simpler - 'Straya'.:thumbup

No i'm an ausssie...where are you from?

You people must know some weird Yanks. :D It's pahsta.

And my grandmother says warsh. But she's from back east in New York. And her and my aunt say "Ro-but" in stead of robot. -_-

I can't think of any other words right now that drive me crazy.
