What words do people say that "annoy" you or get under your skin due to how they pronounce them

For example, our IT Director says project...PRO ject (as in Pro Footballer) which may be the way in the US (I have no idea) but over here....nuh huh.

There are a good portion of people in utah who say Miscellaneous as MISK erlanious..... god its annoying as shit!

Oh my other BIGGEST pet peeve is the way Americans say Water.... THERE IS NO D IN WATER!!

The one 'pronunciation' (I use that lightly) that can lead to unfortunate misunderstandings is pronouncing anything that means your behind as 'fanny'.

Americans would do well to remember not to smack ladies on their fanny over here.

Ok, this may bother the Brits.

A client said schedule, like shedule or sedule. She was not a Brit, btw. But, even though I've met many from the UK, I only ever heard one say it like that. Oh and I heard one portraying royalty say it that way too.

Drove me nuts. It's like she had mush in her mouth or something.

There is a person I speak to regularly who adds a t to a particular word, like ruined, when they use it. I think I've blocked it out of my head, because I can't for the life of me think of it right now. I will though.

I'm w/ya there. I say them that way too. Some people say Aunt as Ant (I do) or Awnt. I think that's an upNorth thing? Like saying Pocketbook instead of Purse. Oh, also, there is no R at the end of Idea. At least down here in FloriDuh.
