Babelfish is terrible!!!! It's not real people translating is why. It's a computer. Translating literally is not the best way to translate, which is how the computer does it. For instance, in french: je means I. Suis means am. Fini means finished. Je suis fini, however, means I am dead. To say I am finished you would say j'ai fin. Languages are picky and pedantic. Computer translators...not so much!

plus the way we speak in English we do not take into account the others culture and how they speak. we just want the answer here and now. you can say, what's your name in Spanish,French etc and learn all the basics of a language. when we went to Barcelona last fall I thought I had a good command of basic Spanish. What I did not realize was just how fast the Spanish people speak and my skills I "learned" in school were for naught. I then quickly realized to speak Spanish to the point where I said...
"Hello, I do not speak Spanish well, but do you speak English" after hearing this many people tried to help in their best broken English. It was a lot of fun for sure.
