It is actually a benefit to everyone in the scenario to eat less meat per week. This does not mean you're not eating any meat. Heaven forbid. It just means for the environment and for your body it is a great idea to find alternatives. By alternative I do not mean meat pretenders like the Boca discussed earlier. I mean just find meatless dishes you enjoy and supplement those once a week for the meat filled meat dripping dishes you would normally have.

I think that i would consider it. The biggest issue for a lot of people with going vegetarian is that vegetables do not taste good. I think that if there was a way to make really tasty vegetable and it tasted better than meat foods then it would be easy to get people to be vegetarians.

:)

I think we are animals and as such we have the right to kill to eat, it's ultimately our healthy survival at stake I'd say.

Absolutely. We are from the earth and are sustained by everything else from the earth. I totally get the feelings people have for animals, I have the same feelings and that's why i've always struggled with the vegetarianism thing (should I or shouldn't I), but I lost the guilt a long time ago. We're animals too. We may not need to survive off animals, but there's nothing wrong with wanting to continue to. And I argue the other person's point that we should cut back on it as well. I'd only agree with that if the meat we're cutting back is from grocery stores etc. That stuff isn't meat anymore.

I would absolutely consider going Vegetarian. Why not? In fact it is an idea that I have vastly considered in the past, but money was the only obstacle preventing me from carrying out my wishes to go vegetarian. I just eat what my family eat, since they buy the food in the house. But I would prefer not to eat any kind of poultry. It is heavy on my stomach and can be quite difficult for me to digest and pass.

Both animals and plants are living things. If we can eat one why can't we eat the other?
Moreover, It's the law of Nature to eat to live. Animals eat animals as well as plants while some animals only eat meat, some only plants. There is No sense in our becoming Vegans unless we want to deny the blessings of Nature (or say God).
Eat well;) Keep well....whatever you can eat or are 'ordained' to eat.

I would certainly fall ill if I have to eat veggies and fruits only. But I can live without them but not meaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat!! Kobe beef is my favorite, though!

I actually enjoy some vegetables now , a few years ago I did not care for them very much.
As far as meat I didn't like chicken or pork very much when I was a kid.

Humans are designed to be omnivores. Meat protein does wonders. And is thought to be what accelerated brain growth in out ancestors.

Plus, there's also been a study that shows that producing grain crops is more environmentally harmful than raising grass fed livestock.
