I think it's all about being a responsible pet owner. My dad always says "Which breed of dog is most likely to bite you? ...The one standing in front of you".

I like wolves and wolf hybrids, but they're certainly a lot more work than some, and you have to know what you're getting into.

You said you found it hard to believe I was telling the truth, pretty much amounts to calling me a liar.

I believe the story to be extremely hard to believe.

I'm not doubting what you heard, but not everything you hear is true. This could be one of those cases like the horse that was killed by satanists.... Stories like this love to be spread around, it doesn't make them true.

I heard it from a friend who was there. Now I know most of us have usually got one or two friends who can be bullshitters but this friend of mine isn't. Besides, he loves big dogs and not because he thinks it makes him look hard so if anything he'd have more reason to keep what he witnessed quiet.

i showed this picture to someone at work the other we and he classed tyson as a devil dog,now tysons mostly rotti but with some bull mastiff...and hes the softest, most stupid dog you'll ever come across...now what would happen if someone threw a wolf into the mix?.....if someone wants something with that look why not just get a german shepherd, malumite mix?

Someone mentioned something about half-wolf breeds having a high prey drive... Have any of you seen a husky react to a cat? or anything that makes a sudden move? hell have any of you seen a non-properly trained husky next to its owner without a leash? ( can guarantee you the last one is a no, most huskies even when trained are not to be trusted off a leash lol)

my sister has a husky and he cuddles with his cat.

the wolf i had slept with our three cats.

It seriously comes down to who is in charge - the human or the animal.

This..and any fear they may sense in you.

I used to wash a Rotti who was the guard dog at the local bikie clubhouse. The big tough bikies were scared shitless of him, and I have to admit...I LOVED "showing my authority" over that dog in front of those boys. I would walk into his enclosure like I owned it...he would roll over ready for the fantastic tummy rub and massage he knew was coming....then he couldnt get into that bath fast enough. He LOVED it. I'm positive it was the only human contact he ever got...even his owner who was the president ignored him.:(

I have wanted a husky all my life, but I am not sure I will ever be prepared to care for one properly. Might never get one! I'd be ok with that. Rather not have one than ruin one or be tormented by its behaviors.

lol these are tough dogs to have as a pet if you dont get them trained peroperly, but when properly trained they are AWESOME

1. they will almost never be trusted off a leash, they are very curious dogs and are prone to haul ass after anything that moves!
2. huskies are not to be trusted with cats, very rare that a full bred husky will get along with one, unless properly introduced to cats as a puppy
3. they will hardly bark, but will howl and often LOL cute as hell when they are puppies
4. if not properly trained, they will not make good guard dogs, a husky is more interested in his curiosity of who is at your door than your safety.
5. They will shed and require lots of exercise, these are labor-bred dogs so he is bound to zone out and try to pull anything from a cinderblock you may tie to his chest harness or the poor soul that thinks taking a non-trained husky out for a walk will be fun lol

Haha thanks for the info! I'd probably want to take it to obedience classes, learn a few things about training it properly...I have a pomeranian, so I would have to see if the dog could possibly find it in its heart to get along with him :24:

they seem to loooove little furry things, and i mean love as in the taste of them o.0

My sister used to selectively huskies back home, when i was growing up we always had 3-4 of them but one of them was her favorite! that dog meant so much to her she has kept it longer than her husband lol When he died she cremated him! I grew to love the dogs, but man they can be a handful at times.
