aha,many moons ago rottis were being shown and judged at things like crufts,now as you know they are a high energy,highly strung herding dog..well the kennel club were getting fed up with the rottis all trying to get at each other so they added temperament to the show standard,with this the serious breeders started breeding from the most placid dogs they had...now you are right about the owner being a large slice in how a dog is,it only takes one bad owner to spoil alot of hard work
now as for these wolf hybrids.....yes dana,i am an animal lover
the problem is that alot of the mixes are first generation,so they have a high prey drive..if its perhaps 3 or 4 generations down the line,that prey drive is greatly diminished
