I am advocating antitrust laws that have been in place since 1890. It's hardly hard core. If those laws had been enforced in the last decade or two instead of actively paving the way for bloated corporations to take ridiculous risks and collapse, we may be celebrating boom times rather than bust.

I view a government guaranteed health program and pension program in a different light. However, in reality, every law that is passed results is some loss of personal liberty. The trick is deciding which ones are worth it. If the Health Program and Social Security can be kept viable, I'm all for them. There is no reason to support it if they are not viable.

But it's already been proven that Social Security is no longer viable... so should we can them now? Health Care is more than likely going to end up in the same boat, because we already don't have the funds to sustain it.
