Cant believe some people here are trying to say that Obama is a bad orator and in the same breath saying that Palin is intelligent. I'd love to be on the same drugs as you.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I don't like Pelosi because she's a heartless, ruthless, power-hungry, Machiavellian bitch. You guys don't like Pelosi because she is liberal.
I think it's pretty obvious. Who else do they have to hate that's actually relevant? Sure, they can throw digs at Rush and Hannity all day, but that doesn't get them very far since neither of them has any political aspirations. If it wasn't for Palin, they wouldn't have any up-and-coming conservatives to bash. They might actually have to shut up and focus on issues, but god knows neither party wants to do that.I can't speak for anyone else, but I don't like Pelosi because she's a heartless, ruthless, power-hungry, Machiavellian bitch.
This is wild. I asked why Palin's enemies won't let her fade into obscurity, and it instantly becomes a dogpile on her! I only caught 1 maybe 2 attempts to actually answer the question. It makes me imagine a group of people bitching about a piece of trash someone left out. Instead of tossing it in the trash and forgetting about it, they circle it and curse it, kicking it around disgustedly. Then when someone does toss it, someone pulls it out so everyone can complain about it some more. :willy_nilly:
What is her power over you??
First, I don't believe McCain chose her, the party did to breathe some life into it. Second, I think you need to stop with the Dems are this and Reps are this. There is an inherent flaw in the party system because ultimately it is not US that chooses the candidates who represent us, it's who the parties push down our throats.
I often chuckle to myselves* how often those of us that sit on opposite sides of the aisle agree on issues, but as soon as we find out what parties we're affiliated with, we divide. Sorry Froggy, you're all hoots when it comes down to it...you both fling the same mud.
I think if people got their heads out of their parties** asses and actually listened for a change, that would make all the difference.
As for Sarah Palin, she doesn't scare me because I'm a liberal, she scares me because she is part of the fear-mongering machine that sways the masses***. She may have a lot of ideas and thigns**** to say, but it's a lot of drivel and crap...are there Dems that do that too? Yes absolutely and as a Dem I'm appalled by them. But don't insult me with a broadstroke generalization that ALL Dems or ALL Reps are this or that simply because they have an opinion about one particularly uneducated, drivel spewing politician.
Oh and just for fun to further prove my point especially at 3:38 on...watch the point counter point:
Hulu - The Daily Show with Jon Stewart: Healther Skelter

Ok, this is a bit off topic but I went back and read my post...I nearly jumped out of my skin at my own grammatical errors and then saw the edit button was gone. SO, please note the following:
*myself...seriously? Myselves? I must have been have a split personality moment...and so I must've I.
**parties'...I forgot the possessive in that one...oops...
***This one is grammatically correct, but I should clarify that I mean the masses who are lazy and love to suckle from the teat of tv soundbytes.
****things...not thigns...sheesh
PS: seriously...watch the video...regardless of which side of the aisle you sit on...it's funny.
Absolutely not. Winning for the sake of winning is surefire catastrophe. There's only one person I know of currently in the federal government that I trust to do the job as the Constitution is written. The rest make the used car salesman stereotype look noble.Just admit it, the basis of your dislike is her political leanings. If all was the same except she was conservative you'd be falling over in love.
I think the current ones in control see this as a chance to distract the party loyal so that they won't be tempted to look too closely at that tome of a bill.I would love to let her fade into obscurity, if you notice I don't bring her up or start threads about her... But if you are going to start a thread titled " Why does Palin get under ya'll's skin so?" then I'll answer it.
