So if imaginary Gods can't kill anyone, how can someone follow a genocidal God?

You never did answer a question of mind some time ago. What do you do for a living?

They follow the general principle and God.
Just because I recognize that bible God is fiction does not mean that Christians do.
They obviously do not.

So your first statement was not true as you did not believe it.

This does not mean that fear and guilt are good motivators. They are.
That is why the churches and even governments use the carrot and stick mentality.

Actually if a perfect, all knowing and all powerful being who cannot be/do wrong commits genocide, it has to be good.

If he could not do wrong, why did he repent in Noah's day?
Certainly not for doing things right.
That he was not referring to his genocide is beside the point that I am speaking to here. it was his creating the way he did.
