What the hell you doing reading it then?? :D

That's the beauty of science. It's constantly changing as new evidence comes to light....... unlike religion.

Here's an example for you.

Wellington Grey -- Miscellanea-- science vs faith

I can see what you THINK you did.

Ummm! Maybe you have your wires crossed....I was being sarcastic. You and I are on the same side. :24:
I read it because it's on a message board and in order to know what's going on I should read every post I can in subjects that I could get involved in.

No, I KNOW what I was doing and I succeeded. I was ridiculing you for your bullshit logic.

I don't need your examples. I'm not arguing science vs faith. You clearly didn't see what I was doing if that's your response to it.

Still a rainy day, like everyday?

I love how it bothers you so much that some people believe in God. And people like Grace aren't bothered that you don't. Hmm...

Coming from the kid who hates himself? If you hate yourself so much, then pray to your pathetic God to make your life all cheery and exciting. It's not that hard, unless you're too lazy to ask him something so simple. Quit complaining about how you hate yourself and debate religion.

So 'God' can come out of nothing?
Speaking of something prior or outside of the Universe is nonsensical in the first place. The Universe is everything, by definition.
Rand was alright in some conclusions and general tones, but her views of logic were deeply flawed as were her consequent conclusions. Some better Neo-Aristotilianism can be found in people like George H. Smith who, as it happens, wrote a wonderful primer on logic into his book "Atheism: The Case Against God". I strongly recommend reading it, and consider it just about as open and shut '15 Ways to Disprove Theism in Your Spare Time' as has ever been written.
Really, magic is bullshit and the idea that a magical man not only exists but gives a damn about an obscure dust mote is pretty ridiculous.
Woah, we agree on something. Good book.

Why do people get confused with belief and knowledge? That's the real question...
If your beliefs differ from your knowledge, you have a serious problem. Denying reality just means it's going to be a real surprise when reality runs you down.

Generally believing something is true doesn't mean you know it's true. same goes with believing something is false. Evidence and proof is what makes you know. But, at this moment, there isn't any proper evidence to prove whether God exists or not. Lack of evidence doesn't make it false, though, since there are still possibilities for evidence to come about in the future.

The concept of God
The non-cognitive nature of 'God'. It's not that long, and any one part of it is enough to decimate this silly 'god' word. It's about 10 arguments in one, each sufficient in itself to repudiate most or all concepts of god.

Get your logic straight before making assumptions that I am an idiot.
I assumed no such thing. I was merely pointing out that my comment regarding Lourdes was sarcasm. I was also pointing out that I'm atheist because one of your post to me appeared to indicate that you thought I was theist.

I read it because it's on a message board and in order to know what's going on I should read every post I can in subjects that I could get involved in.
I was responding to AbriannaPeto.

No, I KNOW what I was doing and I succeeded. I was ridiculing you for your bullshit logic.
Fine! If you think that ad hominem attacks are smart responses....go ahead, have fun!

I love how it bothers you so much that some people believe in God. And people like Grace aren't bothered that you don't. Hmm...
Tut! Tut! Assuming that you know what bothers me is not wise.

Yes it does. If you have no evidence of his existence, then it pretty much comes down to false statements being made. Years go by and nobody has yet given me or any other atheist proof that a god lives and makes everything by his almighty hands. Trust me kid...I've debated this "interesting question" everywhere and I hear the exact same boring answers.

"He exists. I saw the light. Praise this God!" (By the way...I have absolutely no proof whatsoever, but believe me anyway.)

^ You'd be a moron to believe that crap without any proper evidence of it happening. Therefore, I made the conclusion over the years that most statements made by Christians are almost always false rumors being spread about God.

That doesn't mean it's proven false. You can believe it's false, but lack of evidence doesn't prove it's false, It just means it's debatable.

Lack of evidence for a hypothesis does not prove that it is false, but there is one more fundamental principle for knowledge. The Negative Evidence Principle (NEP) states that:

"A person is justified in believing that ‘A’ is false if:

(1) All the available evidence used to support the view that ‘A’ is true is shown to be inadequate.

(2) ‘A’ is the sort of claim such that if ‘A’ were true, there should be available evidence that would be adequate to support the view that ‘A’ is true.

(3) The area where evidence would appear if there were any, has been comprehensively examined".
