i mean,if jesus ever came back the last thing he'd want to see is a cross,it'd be a bit like giving jackie onassis a snipers rifle

You actually make a valid point about when Jesus comes back- it's the last thing he wants to see! I am a Christian but i don't wear crosses. Some use the cross as a reminder that Jesus died for every sinner's sins during the crucifixion => salvation hence they wear it. But not all Christians do!

it is to remind the people of the world the suffering and the love that God had for us to give his only son.

To ward off vampires. :D

That's why I wear a cross - garlic is just too bulky and smelly for everyday wear. My cross is even made of silver.

Oh and Zorak gave me the cross necklace because it used to belong to him; whether out of love or to keep off vampires, I don't know. I'm hoping it's the latter and that he is worried about dead men biting me late at night.

Maybe if Jesus lived and died in 20th century USA, Christians would all be walking round with little electric chairs or gas chambers round their necks.:humm:

lol Especially if it's silver.

How does the senseless slaughter of your son express anything but hatred for your son?

One must remember that Jesus was/is God. The only way that God could become the sacrifice for mankind's sin was to become man - of the flesh. Only God's or Jesus's death was sufficient to pay the penalty for the sins of the world. Jesus had to be God so that he could pay our debt. Jesus had to be man so he could die.

Well, he had a couple major advantages over us... Walking on water, turning shit into wine and fish... being immortal.. :D

It's like the Sultan of Brunei coming down to the job centre and milling about, agreeing how tough it all is. :surrender

That doesn't even make sense. God sacrificed himself to make up to himself for the our sins?

Why? I thought god wrote the rules. Pretty stupid one on his part sticking that in really, wasn't it? Anyway, what debt? Who exactly was Jesus dying paying off a debt to?
