As much as I loved WoW. I've been on a break for the last month. Then my subscription finally ran out yesterday. Who knows when I'll go back. Maybe when they open Ulduar...we'll see.

same, i hit 80 and havent really played since. i have no gear to raid and no patience to collect it so... meh
i has an 80 enhance shaman and a 70 spriestmy wife plays too
I've got my lvl 80 shammy who is spec'd resto..but when and if I start playing again that will change. I HATE HEALING! :24:
Then just a 41 Belf Pally
And Undeak DK who is 62 I think. lol

My first 40 player raid as a Pally, my job was to avoid combat and rez the dead. I hated it. Oddly, I enjoy playing a Holy Priest. My Pally expectations were not to be a full time healer. Odd?
40 isnt the max level, the first raid encounters arent accessible until 58 afaik. Even still, if you want to "raid", you should be level 80 and attempting Vault of Archavon, Naxxramas, or Obsidian Sanctum.
Unless you confused 40 with 60, and you were an OOC rezzer in the MC days. I did that on my shaman at 60, but I preferred it. You cant do that anymore, though. Engaging a boss flags the entire raid into combat. If you enjoy healing, all you do is heal now, but its a lot different. At 60, it was all about efficency. At 70, it was a mix of efficency, amount of healing, and speed of healing. At 80, its pretty much all player awareness/how fast you can spam your max hps heal.

It was fun to level with the new expac but other than that the raids and such get boring pretty fast.
I'm on a pvp server and wouldn't have it any other way. I find it fun. However, it's just waiting for more new material is what has be taking a break right now.

Maybe you were playing it too often when you were active? I took a 2 year break before I realized I wanted to play it some more.
ulduar will be out in 2 weeks probably.
have you done 3 drake sarth already? im not sure how hardcore you are, but if not, it may be pretty tough for you. for hardcore guilds, it was the only content that took more than a day to learn in nov/dec.
and warriors are finally getting some pvp buffs, pretty excited about 3.1

80 Belf Mage = My main.
76 Belf DK
50 Belf Rogue
30 Druid
I'm all about pvp servers. In BC all I did was arena and bg's and never even did heroics or raids until they nerfed everything for the xpac. So this time around I decided to raid and I've decided it's the most boring thing in wow. So I quit for several reasons but one of them because I wanted to pvp and there's too many changes with the pvp system right now.

You quit while mages were flat out utterly broken in PvP lol
AP, 7k AB, pom + 9k pyro/ffb crit, 7k AB, fireblast for 5k. Clearly outplayed my warrior all the time while hopping around in the first 10 seconds despite sr/shield wall ;<Im leveling an alt on dunemaul alliance atm. Two guilds (unrelated) that were on my first server of 2-3 years rerolled there. I think Im 62? Ill probably be 80 a in month or two.

I guess it depends on your motivations. If you're into quests and environment, pvp servers suck. If you like a dangerous environment where death and destruction can arrive at any moment then pvp is the way to go.
LOL don't feel bad. I had a buddy xfer to my server so he could join my guild and game with me. Well after a couple months he kept getting super pissed cuz he was being ganked lol.
Low and behold he xfer'd back off.
