I go from one to the other. I used to stick with Firefox and then when Chrome came out, I tried it and HATED IT. Then, a few weeks ago, Firefox was starting to have issues after an update so I tried Chrome again. Now I am on chrome. Probably will go back once there are issues with Chrome. hehe

I am a developer and some of our applications are for the web, so I deal with all kinds of browsers and their versions.

IE is the absolute worst, but unfortunately I have the most experience with it because for some reason everyone wants to use it. I am using Chrome because someone recommended I try it but I am not happy with it. You can tell that some developers do not test their applications and websites to function properly for Chrome. My favourite would have to be Firefox, it is by far the easiest browser for me to develop on but again, not everyone tests with it. Safari isn't bad either I guess. Opera just plain sucks.

I use both Opera and Internet Explorer. Opera is fast and has a lot of quick features such as right-click on a word, then left-click search. This opens a Google search for that word. Also i like the speed dial at the front with all my favorite sites, and the fact you can open a background tab. Downside is that some sites are not compatible, but i can right-click the page and select open with Internet Explorer. IE is great as it works with almost all pages!

I mostly use Chrome (synchronized bookmarks& autocomplete ftw!), but for some reason Facebook doesn't like to play with Chrome. It just gets stuck on the front page and I can't do anything except close the tab and try again later. I've tried clearing my cache, which works temporarily, but I get the same problem a couple of hours later. So I also use Firefox, but just for Facebook.

I've used almost every browser you can think of, and in my opinion Chrome is the best. Don't get me wrong IE has come a long way from where they were a few years ago, but I think both IE and FireFox are a little behind Chrome in a few different categories.

I use chrome and have never had any trouble with security or malware. Do you download things and open them without scanning them first or something? I hope that doesn't sound mean, I'm just curious.

Do you have malwarebytes running on your machine? If not you should think about grabbing the free version.

I use Palemoon. I tried Chrome and still use it if Palemoon doesn't for a specific site, but I don't particularly like using it. I think it mostly has to do with the way it handles tabs. Especially ever since I've been using Tree Style Tab for Palemoon, which I couldn't live without now.

I used to be Opera user, now I switch to Mozilla (about a month ago) and I'm not coming back. Mozilla let me do anything I want to do with security, setting, scripts, adds on etc etc... I feel much more safe than using any other browser. Opera is ok too but it crashed on me too much.

Chrome is, in my opinion, the best web browser out there (for PC's). I've tried firefox, opera and safari, but none of them are as fast as chrome. Furthermore, when chrome is coupled with the two add-ons Ad-block Plus and Better Pop-Up Blocker it becomes an even better browser. However, I will say that when it comes to my iPhone, I prefer to use the standard safari.

I was a Firefox user for a long time, maybe 2-3 years, but then when Chrome started to get popular I gave it a try.
I'm using Chrome at this very moment, it's faster than Firefox at least in my computer, HD videos are smoother on YouTube, better bookmarks, great addons...
Not going back haha :D

I don't really think that there is a "best browser", they're all pretty similar. I find that for me personally I love the layout of Firefox, and Google Chrome for me is unstable at times. And IE keeps crashing, which is what it's notorious for.

I started using Chrome again, is it still full of bugs and security holes? If so, I can quickly switch back to Firefox. I like both, but I find chrome a bit faster.

I switched from Chrome to SRWare Iron, which is basically an exact copy of Google Chrome with all of it's capabilities and plugins/extensions support, except that it has none of the BS that google does to track you and the websites you visit. You guys should check it out:

http://www.srware.net/en/software_srware_iron.php

Apart from Chrome (or should I say Iron now), I also use Mozilla Firefox from time to time as I have specific plugin extensions for firefox that I utilize, which are not available for Chrome.

Don't if you've heard of it - K-Meleon - It's a fast, light-weight browser which lacks much of the functionality of the modern browsers [but can do a decent job anyway] so for someone using an old PC with 996MHz processor and 128MB of RAM, I find it very convenient.

I pretty much agree with this exactly. I mainly use Firefox, seems fastest and the plug-ins are great. Chrome is ok, but I still prefer FF. I realize in Chrome the search and address bar are the same thing, but not having them separate really irks me for some reason. IE is dated to say the least.

I had switched to Chrome for a while, and liked a lot of it, but was dismayed to discover that it was FULL of security holes and bugs. I have never in my life experienced so many inbound attacks and mal-ware as I did when using Chrome, and my browsing habits had not changed at all. I removed it and thoroughly cleaned my machine, and am back with IE and have had no issues at all.

Same happened to me, but I could not stand with the series of IE7, IE8 and IE9, so I thought to find a better solution and found it in SRware Iron, which is built upon the same Chromium base that Google Chrome uses, but without the problems of this latter.

You can learn more about this web browser here, http://www.srware.net/en/software_srware_iron_chrome_vs_iron.php

And as for Internet Explorer, I'm again rediscovering now that my new computer came with IE 10 installed.
