I had switched to Chrome for a while, and liked a lot of it, but was dismayed to discover that it was FULL of security holes and bugs. I have never in my life experienced so many inbound attacks and mal-ware as I did when using Chrome, and my browsing habits had not changed at all. I removed it and thoroughly cleaned my machine, and am back with IE and have had no issues at all.

What does everyone else use? I really don't like IE, but the differences aren't worth the risk of damage to me. I'm curious what those with far more knowledge of IT have to say.

I probably have just as much IT knowledge as you, if not less, and I am now a faithful user of Firefox. I used to use IE but when it upgraded to 9 something (I think it was Flash) went beserk on it. I got annoyed enough to download Firefox and I've been using it ever since. Google Chrome got installed on my laptop somewhere along the line too but I never use it.

Chrome here.

I don't know what Mozilla have been playing at these last few years, but firefox I've found has been getting steadily clunkier. I'd even use IE (8 and above) over firefox now.

I don't have Safari, because I'm perfectly satisfied with Chrome right now; but I've never been anything but impressed with Safari.

I've been using Firefox for several years, now, and have really liked it. I should give Safari a try once. IE is hardly an option anymore.

I love Chrome. It's so clean and simple and fast. I don't really have much of a problem with security, as whatever Chrome lets through, I have AVG and Malwarebytes to clean up.

I prefer Firefox. Chrome is second best but reminds me too much of my cellphone LOL.

I've heard great things about Chrome and how it beats out Firefox in lots of categories. I'm just too lazy to start using it. I mean, it's even on my desktop just watin' there.

I've used Chrome for a long time now, and love it. I haven't had issues with bugs but I'm not extremely knowledgeable about computers.

Firefox is ok to me, I'd use it long before IE.

Chrome for me too, love it. I was mostly using it on my Mac, but I use it on my work computer too and it seems fine.

Can't stand Firefox. Don't know what it is, it's possible that I'm just resistant to change :ninja

I used to be straight firefox... but I have run into issues with PDF's opening off of web pages. I can't get them to open in anything but chrome... and I do lots of BOL's online, so I just roll with it..

Yeah pdf's are a bit of a pain in firefox. Everytime it causes an error, then opens fine. I also have a weird bug on this forum where the typing cursor doesn't show up when I'm replying to stuff. Happens on both my computers and my computer at work.

Isn't Chrome one of Googles products?

I tried it and was not impressed and now if it is part of Google I would not touch it given Googles policy changes

I have been a longtime user of Firefox and I like it.

You can get extensions where it can access IE only sites.

That shit happens to me at home and at work. I knew it wasn't just my computer. Sometimes the cursor shows up, like now, other times it doesn't. And when you highlight something in order to replace or delete it, nothing happens. If you hit enter to in order to move down when you're typing, nothing happens either. So frustrating.

Maybe I should start using Chrome now...

HAha, mutiny! Right on bruv! :D
It's the little shit like that that drove me away from firefox. A year or so ago, I had major problems with firefox and embedded videos. There have been other things as well. I like that Mozilla is open-source & not-for-profit, but I can't bear to use firefox, or their e-mail client, thunderbird.
