If God is an infinite being, then surely he incorporates all aspects of all religions! So he would be Zues (?), Allah, Jehova etc. all at the same time.
This would, of course, mean that everyone is right and that no-one is wrong! I can't really see the various religious communities going for that, can you?
That's usually when they start arguing about which is the correct interpretation! Religion has been the excuse for more wars than anything else! Utter madness.
The problem with a god, is that if he is infinite, and we can only identify a finite proportion of him then anything we say about him will be flawed and incomplete!
Because believing that would be heresy is you're any type of Christian. If God is an infinite being, then surely he incorporates all aspects of all religions! So he would be Zues (?), Allah, Jehova etc. all at the same time.
Then you are a:Getting back to the original Question though. I prefer to believe that God is, well, the universe itself! It may be a bit extreme, but I have problems with the concept of an old bloke with big white hair and a beard sitting watching everyone saying " You're good" and "You're bad" .

Hey, I didn't make up Christian doctrine, I'm simply stating it.But then we're coming back to the point I made earlier, about the restriction of an infinite being by our limited understanding of him! The problems arise when someone says 'This is God and you will believe this and not that'. That's usually when the arguements start!
