My dad is Northern Irish, my mum English.

Well, odds are you have a fair amount of German/Scandinavian blood in you since most Brits had invader ancestors from the Jutes, Saxons and Angels. It is pretty interesting stuff.Plain Britishmy dad has started doing his family tree and he thinks there's some French on my mum's side and some Jewish on his, but that's about as exotic as it gets!

Interestingly, none of the invading forces had much of an impact on the British or Irish gene pool, which seems to have remained unchanged by invading forces.
Primarily we appear to be of Basque origin.

I'm not really sure what all is floating around in my gene pool. I know there's Irish and Austrian. I believe there's some Welsh and some British, also. All I know is that my name is incredibly Austrian/German/whatever you wanna call it. And no one can ever properly pronounce any part of my name. But, myself and my parents were all born and raised in America, so I'm definitely American above all else.
