agnostic...yup I believe there could be something but I want it proven to me....I don't believe in organized religions because in my opinion all they are is another control over man and cause more problems in the world than good

I think all religions are just some sort of a cult. The Bible was written by a very smart person way back in the day (which was a Wednesday for those of you that are Dane Cook fans). Something was needed to explain things back then. Through science, so many inconsistencies have been proven throughout the years, its just tough to "believe". Plus, you have clergy folks raping young boys, wtf?

I was raised Christian, but that left a very bad taste in my mouth, so I've been sort of agnostic for the longest time. My husband is Jewish, and Jews have a thing about interfaith marriage, so there's quite a bit of pressure on me to convert (apparently, me being a guy is no biggie, but not being Jewish is a huge deal). I'm toying with the idea, but I'm not completely sure.

My children will be raised with the Jewish religion, however.

Atheism. Don't really want to believe in anything, either. When I die, I'm dead... but for now I'm going to live life in this cold ass bastard of a city.

Don't take this the wrong way, but how can you belong to a religion that denounces same sex relationships? Unless this is one of the non-orthodox viewed Judaisms.

Judaism has several variants, the most popular being Orthodox, Conservative and Reform.

Orthodox is the one that denounces same-sex relationships, observes kashrut (kosher), and a group within Orthodox are the Hasidic Jews (the ones with the black hats and funny hair).

Conservative is the one my husband belongs to, which maintains the traditions of Judaism (kashrut, the keeping of Shabbat, daily prayer, speaking Hebrew), but has a more liberal outlook. They've recently allowed gay men and women to be ordained as rabbis, and in order to be a rabbi, you generally should be married, so they have nothing against same sex marriage.

Reform is the most lenient form, although most of them do observe kashrut, but not always.

Uh, I was sort of raised Catholic. I would hardly call it that, though. My family has a lot of Catholic people in it, does that count?

In actuality, I'm an atheist. I don't believe anything happens, and I don't believe in a higher power or anything.

I always thoough catholicism was the best, you got Peep's like Martin lutha' and henry 8 runnin around creating religeons left and right, "Methodist", "Lutheren", "Baptist", "Presbytarian" and etc.. etc..

The catholics were the original christian's, not one of them. Also because when i do something wrong, i just go confess and me and god will be cool with eachother. also because some of my favorite people are catholic's.

Catholics are confusing. They always have like 20 kids.

I was baptised as a Methodist Christian. Then I got forced into going to church, my questions never got answered in church or sunday school... so I stopped caring.

I never got the whole Catholic thing. It's very severe. And I don't like to think that your sins are forgiven that easily. It seems silly to me. If I were God, I'd make the process a lot harder. Like, I'd only forgive your sins if you ran a gauntlet of swinging blades and crocodiles.

That's the one thing I don't think I could do properly. I would get so bored. The Jewish Shabbat is so ridiculously restrictive. I mean, c'mon, Matt grew up where we wasn't allowed to press the button in an elevator (and they lived on the fourth floor or something like that) during Shabbat. You can't write, cook, flick a lightswitch, shave, tie your shoelaces (observant Jews have a specific way to put their shoes on even not during Shabbat), use electricity... insane!
