Haha yeah, mostly because I'm getting bored with this massive tangent.

The unfortunate thing is race is always a red herring. It's always just underneath the surface, on all sides. But we've been programmed that it isn't okay to mention it.

Frankly I have always thought if we just get it all off our chests, we can finally put it to bed and move forward as a nation. But I think politicians, and the media need the tension to stay where it is.

It's always better to have us fighting in the streets, so they can sneak in and steal the furniture from our homes. They meaning Washington DC;)

So you refuse to understand my statements, and keep a incorrect version of it that you cooked up in your head while skimming over the thread, and then post a cute little picture to compensate for your sub-par reading comprehension.

This is just me and what I think.
I could give a crap if I had a gun. I play games with guns every day but I really dont want one unless I need to shoot someone.
As far as feeling safe in my home. If someone tries to take my life, they have just met the craziest person on the face of the earth.

What's more important is your opinion of other people owning guns.

I used to be very against gun ownership - being British we've had guns outlawed for many years now and it seems to have worked pretty well overall. But having spoken to many US citizens about gun ownership I do understand why so many people choose to exercise their right to bear arms. In a country where there's a high chance a criminal you're going to come across will be carrying one, it certainly levels the playing field.

As long as the gun owner is trained to handle it, and it's kept in a safe place, I don't see the problem with someone wanting to defend their family and property.

Just my two pence.

Guns have other uses besides shooting people.

You can joke around about being "crazy", but when a 6 foot tall criminal high out of his mind on PCP breaks into your home with a kitchen knife you'll beg for a gun.

Well there are thousands of cases every year that involve home invasions, break-ins and burglaries. Home invasions are on the rise lately, too, where the criminals just don't care if you're home. They'll break in. Armed.

A very good reason to arm yourself at home, especially if you've got a family.
