I know that I would like to believe something wonderful happens after you die, but in all reality... I think it is just NOTHING...

NONE of us can answer that accurately.

Why? where not dead!

So we have no proof to prove or disprove any of the "theories"

The only certain thing is that there is this thing called pineal gland that releases a liquid when you're born, you're on DMT, your deaming, and when you die... but still that doesn't tell us much.

Its not like we can evade it so what the hell lets enjoy life.

I honestly do not have the balls to think NOTHING happens. Im not afraid of death in any aspect, I am going to die/so is everyone here. I also doubt my life will have any more impact other than the people I will talk to/touch, but to think NOTHING happens when we pass...even if I did believe that, Id force myself to accept some sort of hope. I also believe that whoever put us here, can put us there. Someone is pulling the strings on the puppets. I dont have a problem with recognizing this though.

As for judgement, Im still unsure. I think that there is going to be some sort of value of how you liev this life...but if its as simple as an up or down elevator, for many people it is easy. As a Catholic, the final sacrament are the Last Rites, during this you are absolved from Sin and any sin you may commit before you pass, but you must be actually regret doing them.

I believe in my own mind, if you understand what you do is wrong, if you TRY not to do them, if you dont take pleasure/stay in sin, you are good person. There is no logic why a good person should see a damned eternity.

To be honest those, those who think "nothing happens", talk to any old person. No mentally healthy person (unless in extreme pain or somethng) wants to "expire" to nothing/end existance. Most of us are not even 40, we have a "long" time left before we will PROBABLY die. However, when you all start to get to the end of the road, like the majority of atheist/people, you will fight kicking and screaming to have your one more day of existance. To think you are different from this, atleast in my eyes, makes you look naive. In short, Im willing to bet as you age to the point of death/grow as a person/live your life longer, youll see how special, fragile, wonderful, scary, and hard life is and can and will continue to be. If you can continue keeping your Atheistic ideas after all of that anyways, you are a very strong person. Much stronger than I will ever be metally.

Q: What happens when you die?

A: Family and Friends are sad/depressed that you've died.
I dont get sad. Im not even kidding..Ive never even been slightly depressed or saddend at death of anyone I know personally. Death is as natural as life, and I believe there is something more than this fragile existance, so why waste your tears when they are out of this misery and onto something new?

People who look down on other people, because of thoughts such as mine need to learn to accept the fact not everyone wnats to be like you. The world isnt a bunch of Mases, I just have accepted the fact that life is a part of death, you will die. I will die. I believe there is more to life after death, so why would I be upset? Because it is a social norm? I dont go out of my way to break social formalities, but I wont conform to them either. Make your own thoughts, and stand by them. If you want to look down on others because they are different, you can ive your narrow minded life.

Pre-juding how big my "heart" is usually looks bad. I will call you both ignorant, as you obviously fail to recognize what I am talking about. Ill sum this up...

My religious belief is that an afterlife is better than life.

Someone I love/know/like or whatever dies, they leave their existance, to a BETTER life.

So, by not being upset a person I care about is going to a better place, I should be sad or Im a heartless bastard. Atleast that is what your logic would point me at.

The fact is death is natural, it is something you should always think about. Today might be my last day, it might be my mothers last day, it may be my brohers last day, or my best friends last day living. Cherish the time you have with them, enjoy it to the most you can every day, because it is not going to last forever. However, when it does end, they are going to be happier than they are now, and youll have your good memories to help make your life better anways.

5:52 a.m. on adderall, there is no lightening up to be had. There was also no form of sarcasm other than the one smiley, which I didnt take as a joke either :p

However, I can understand it being shitty for YOU that person dies, I just dont understand the purpose. You should be happy that you were able to know that person and spend time with them. You shouldnt waste your time wishing/regretting things that will never happen.
