What does 143 days of experience qualify you for? Apparently President of the US!

Seriously--would you hire anyone to do any job for you with 143 days of experience? Hell, a 16 year old needs more time than that to get a driver's licence in most states. Even Kindergarten lasts longer than that. Yet we have Moore-Ons who want to put a person in office as the leader of the free world with exactly that amount of experience!

Just how much Senate experience does Barack Obama have in terms of actual work days? Not much. From the time Barack Obama was sworn in as a United State Senator, to the time he announced he was forming a Presidential exploratory committee, he logged 143 days of experience in the Senate. That's how many days the Senate was actually in session and working.

After 143 days of work experience, Obama believed he was ready to be Commander In Chief, Leader of the Free World, and fill the shoes of Abraham Lincoln, FDR, JFK and Ronald Reagan. 143 days -- I keep leftovers in my refrigerator longer than that.

In contrast, John McCain's 26 years in Congress, 22 years of military service including 1,966 days in captivity as a POW in Hanoi now seem more mpressive than ever. At 71, John McCain may just be hitting his stride.

Actually experience does count for President if 1) you are intelligent, 2) you have good ideas, 3) you learn from your experience. However I've watched McCain contort himself into a conservative to get elected. I've just had seven plus years of so-called conservatism and have had enough. It's time for a change imho.

So when we are talking about president of the United states, it's better to have another elitist who was born into a life a privilege who finished at the very bottom of his class, or one that was given nothing and ended up working his own way up to becoming president of Harvard law review... the most coveted academic achievement possible at one of our highest institutes of education...

You guys actually kill me... you must have your heads so far up your asses to think McCain is a better choice than Obama, and those are the only two choices we have... McCain will be nothing more than a third Bush term, and that's not just a talking point. If you really believe that this country will do better with Grandpa McCain as president, then you truly are delusional.

Funny, but even with a recession that was left us in 2000 after Clinton's term, Bush's economy was blazing untill--well, until Democrats took over Congress in 2006. Funny how they aren't getting any of the blame in your book even though they pass all the legislation. Why is no blame being cast their way? Or did you forget how great the economy was for up till about a year ago?

And who took over Congress in 1992 for the first time in 40 years? You don't know what you're talking about. Congress, not the President is primarily responsible for how the economy goes. Clinton was in office two years and it wasn't until the Republicans took over in 1992 and they instituted controls on spending (Congress authorizes spending) that the you got that spike.

BTW--the surplus is directly responsible to the Internet/High Tech boom and has nothing to do with either Clinton or the Republicans taking over in 1992--its pure luck in terms of the revnues, but it did take controls on spending by Republicans. Take an economics course. If you want to see where the real change occurred, it was after the early 1980s tax cuts--the economy grew at explosive rates not surprisingly when they cut the tax rates.

Really--this is not that hard to understand--low tax rates = a booming economy. High tax rates equals stagnation. And no matter how many times you liberals are taught this lesson, you still believe that a welfare state is the magic answer to everyone's problems! When does personal responsiblity and accountability ever enter your thougth process?

And NONE of this has anything to do with the fact that Obama is asbolutely not qualified to run a state let alone a country--keep repeating to yourself--143 days of experience--143 days of experience--143 days of experience!

According to the roster, Obama was present for 143 days in the Senate chambers.

Do you also know that a senator's job does not end once they leave the chamber or sub-committee doors?

So, I think it is safe to at least double if not triple that number, which would give you about 286 to 429 days.

Just about every policy he stands for. I see no good in this man, none. The media are so far up his ass it isn't even funny. Straight talk? Maverick? Give me a break, he has strayed so far off the reservation he can no longer be considered either of those. He has reversed his position on just about every major view he holds. It takes balls of brass to author a bill then turn around and say he won't even vote for it. It's funny that he has flip flopped more than Kerry did and on bigger issues yet we haven't heard that term used once in the media when it comes to Johnny boy. You cannot dismiss the fact that McCain has voted with Bush 100% of the time in 2008 and 95% of the time in 2007. Not the same?

What happened to your logical debating style?

Sometimes I don't have the time to put on a full debate... but the previous posts needed to be addressed. I am just amazed how some people think about this election cycle. I am convinced that most of the McCain supporters are either basing their support of 30 second news clips or they are falling for the same old political tactics. I would love for everyone to actually get educated about both of these candidates before voting. Most of the time people just fall in line with their party and never look deeply into BOTH candidates, they vote on issues that have no effect on whether they would make a good president or not. When you still see people throwing out that Obama is a Muslim, you know they are either being disingenuous or they just don't have a clue...

And why can't I infract you for Insulting Members?
