Cricket and the weird way they put the letter "u" into words where it doesn't belong... like "honour", "colour", and "humour".

:p

I know there are more, but that's just off the top of my head

soccer

Yes that's right, i said soccer.

Soccer players are the biggest pussies of any sport bar none. What other game do you see grown men fall to the ground clutching there leg when another player comes within a foot or so? If I don't see cleat marks in your leg, no penalty, pussy!

You do realise they play football in other Countries apart from the UK, yes?

Good, just thought i'd check.

That's because we can spell right, but of course if America are trying to give teach us things we should all run for cover.

I like roundabouts, they have them here too, Americans just don't know how to use them very well. Dislike about UK, er, I don't like diesel cars so much, they seem to have more there. As far as someone saying that individually Europeans are okay but in a group not so much, I find that in Americans too, especially if alcohol is involved. I don't like dark beer and I think it's hilarious that in Ireland they drink Bud more than any other beer. I think it tastes like crap.

I like about the same amount of stuff in the UK as the USA, I just was born in the USA so I'm partial to it. But I could live in the UK too, and it's a possibility being married to an Irishman, probably won't but I'm not against it.

I hate the one law for one and another if your an MP:mad

I hate the way that school girls are getting pregnant as if sex was a game and not giving a damn that its the tax payer that will have to keep her and her chiild.

I hate the way our NI is run and also if your of a certain age you are not given the treatment you are entitled to at times ...after paying into the system for 45 years.I know all about this alright after losing my Mother In Law purely because they kept putting her Op on hold......a Cancer one.

I hate the way that our MPs lie through their bleedin teeth and say what you want to hear before they get into power but soon change when you put them into power.

I hate the EU and what it costs this country....Big Time and blame that twat Heath for that.

I hate the way that Council Tax is worked out and the unfairness of it at times.

I hate the way that Councils give permission for buildings to be built in Green Belt areas....back handers in other words.

I REALLY hate our Bike laws....and they need to be looked at as people who ride Bikes here all seem to be colour blind and when at traffic lights think Red is Green and they have the right to carry on not caring if they cause an accident and get away with it as they have no number plates that can be traced...no tax...no insurance. Also a young child is allowed to ride a bike on the roads ....why the hell is this all allowed and muggins here has to follow the Highway Code as written and if I dare do anything I shouldn't oh boy Im in trouble....that dont bother me but the unfairness does.

I hate the way Tax Money is being wasted....oh well....happy soul aint I.;)

I do take a bit of offence to this. I got pregnant at 16, mother at 17 and the govenment and the tax payer doesn't raise me or my child. The only benefit I get is Child benefit and I got ALG when I was at college and I am looking for work.

I know there are a lot of crappy teenage mothers, but it just frustrates me that everyone seems to brand all teenage mothers like that. I'm not having a go at you becuase you weren't talking to me directly, but you would not believe the abuse I've gotten from people about it. From people shouting abuse to me, to making horrible comments to me.

It just gets to me a lot that I'm treated like shit when there are so many "adult" mothers that are so much worse and sponge of the state and they don't get shouted at by people or made to feel like such utter shit.

I hate the way they bitch about us being violent gun bearing assholes untill they're getting their faces stomped. Then they cheer and thank god from their fox holes when they see the red white and blue flying in to save their pansey asses.

Sorry if it offended you but tbh 16 is quite older then what I was even talking about.Girls are gettting pregnant at 12 fgs and 13 and its wrong.I know what its like being born to a single woman....to be thrown into foster care and an orphanage and living a childhood that will haunt me forever. Not even knowing who I really am as no idea who my father was.Having a Mother who drunk to forget and made a little girls childhood a misery.....one thing I will say for her and that is she worked and never had help from anyone.
Abcinthia what you have said here I can only say....good for you babe and sod the ones who shout at you as you know you can hold your head up high and yes it must be hard to be tarred by the same brush as others and it cant be easy for you.I just wished others had your way of thinking and again wished getting pregnant at the ages I have said would be taken more seriously....so refreshing to hear from someone who does right and good on ye girl:thumbup

It's ok - I know loads of girls pregnant from an early age, like the ones you describe and I do agree they should think about the consequences and take it seriousally. Like one girl on my facebook had her first child at 15, is now 19 and pregnant with her third (she doesn't know who any of the fathers are) and is just an awful mother who just wants money. The benefits she gets to spend on her children, she spends on herself and she chain smokes during her pregnancies cos she heard it makes the baby smaller and therefore the "birth will be easier" :willy_nilly:

I do really think that someone should go into schools and really tell these girls that being a mother isn't easy and just to give them the stark reality of it - perhaps that will make some of them think twice and just have safe sex.

For the most part, I do ignore the comments but somedays it just really gets to me. People can be so fucking cruel at times.

Well jumping traffic lights on a bicycle is breaking the law. As for the tax, why should cyclists pay tax? you pay tax on cars for emissions, which bikes don't have. Roads, contrary to motorists' belief are actually paid for through council and income taxes, by everyone.

yes I used to cycle when I lived in the UK and I tell you one thing, it's dangerous out there - most drivers don't give a damn about cyclists or the dangers they face on the roads, not to mention how difficult it is to cycle in the British weather and on the ghastly British streets. Plus it's good for you, and owning a bike conserves oil that is needed for things like agriculture.

About Vehicle Tax:

The rates shown only apply to cars that have been type approved in category M1 and registered on the basis of CO2 emissions measured in grams per kilometre (g/km) driven. These details are shown on the registration certificate (V5C).

Vehicle tax rates for cars registered on or after 1 March 2001 are split into 13 bands depending on CO2 emissions. The amount you'll pay depends on which band your car is in. The lower a car’s emissions, the lower the vehicle tax payable on it.

You're taxed on your emissions. Road Tax was abolished some time in the seventies I believe.

We are not going to agree on this as I think cyclists are a pain on the roads and IMO just get away with to much and are a law unto themselves.I have also seen bad accidents caused by their selfishness of not wanting to abide to Traffic Laws. Also to let Children ride on main Roads just is not right.Am I an old misog because I think these things...well maybe but I will never ever change my mind as ive lived a long life and have been on the Roads alot more then the average woman due to business and ive seen some awful things Cyclists have done just because they can get away with it.There has to be some good ones also I do know that and these other twats give them a bad name which is wrong I know but seems those people are quite rare today and thats the problem.
Also reading this I dont think anyone knows where Road Tax goes.

But seriously, the number of accidents on the roads caused by motorists is enormous compared to cyclists. Not to mention the fatalities. Or the damage to the environment.

Sure there are of course bad cyclists. But there are bad motorists too and that is far more dangerous.

and when exactly were we getting our "faces stomped"?

I assume you're talking about WWII. Can't think of any other wars where we were getting our faces stomped. Can you?

A little history lesson for you:

The Battle of Britain was won by Britain and by Britain alone before the US joined the war. So much for saving our "pansey asses."

The US didn't join the war to save our "pansey asses". Germany declared war on the US.

The defeat of the Nazis was a joint effort, tho maximum points should go to the Russians, not the US.

Oh hell ye there sure is some crap drivers thats for sure.I have been involved in a couple of really bad accidents caused by these shumucks who fell asleep on a Motorway and another who wasnt English and decided just to pull out into the middle lane on a Motorway without checking their mirror first.I nearly got killed by these idiots so who am I to stick up for Motorists....BUT you dont get every driver going through Red Lights....they pay their dues if they do.We also pay for using the roads and MOST of us are insured and have to pass a Test and also have to be a certain age.Im to old.....have seen to many bad cyclists so guess we will have to agree to disagree on this one but enjoyed our little debate.:)

you don't get every cyclist running red lights either. And cyclists pay to use the roads too through taxes. I don't doubt there are some terrible cyclists out there, but they have just as much right to be on the roads as motorists.

Ive been driving for 40 years and I can count on one hand the ones ive seen NOT go through a red light and as ive said ive had alot of road experience in those years. As for the cyclist paying through paying taxes well that must mean I pay twice then as I also pay taxes.

well given the fact that cars damage the roads beyond twice the rate of cyclists, I think that's fair ;)
