The Opel, Gremlin and Mustang were all a piece of shit that I kept barely thru their warranty. The Opel was brand new back in my Senior year of HS. Cost me $2,100.00 which I paid in cash as I had been working every summer and holiday since 11 years old at the family business.

I made a mistake. It was an 88. Which reminds me as it too was a piece of shit. Had a dog of a 6 cylinder engine that ended up seizing up on me with no advanced warning.

Yeah the Cutlass back in the day could get it on.

My Firebird was not hot off the line but was the smoothest at top end of any car I have been in. I maxed it out once going up to the family cottage around midnite on some empty back roads. It buried the speedometer and I guess was going about 120-130 MPH but it was quiet and like driving at 50 MPH
