See, I think it's harder on the treadmill b/c it's harder to fiddle w/ adjusting the speed whereas out in the real world I control my pace, not the machine. Everyone tells me once you get used to running it's addictive. I think they're full of shit.I haven't been running in a while, longest I can go now though is about 10 minutes straight on a treadmill
running out in the real world is a bit more tough
If I got back into running maybe I can build some better endurance

I have a thing about running in public, too. I tried going running w/ Jersey once and I ended up wussing out. Of course it wasn't a good choice to try to go running after doing 60 minutes on the elliptical, either, but still.I don't run in public because no one wants/needs to see me running :eek
Or a plastic horse... :ninjaDangle a burger infront out of reach

Try Couch to 5K (google C25K and it should come up). It starts you off slowly and then builds you up to running for 30 minutes straight.

I used to feel that way, however I got used to it. When you have your shades, cap and good music on, you'll not mind any of the other people staring at you. Think of it that they're seeing a beautiful lady ( which is true) highly motivated and disciplined to exercise. :clap
Yanno, it's funny b/c there's a weight loss website that I post on and there was one girl who was MORTIFIED b/c a thin woman approached her in the park and told her how she had seen her out jogging and wanted to tell her that she was doing really well. Somehow she took that and turned it into an insult and said that if she wasn't heavyset the woman wouldn't have approached her. I just don't get it, LOL
I have learned from that website that different people will react differently when it comes to their weightloss or fitness level. Now me personally, I would be mortified if someone mentioned that I was out of breath while running or something like that, but aside from that it wouldn't bother me. I have a thread somewhere in General Discussion about it, but there were several people that were upset about people telling them "I"m proud of you" in regards to their weight loss. Some of them took it as people trying to take credit for their weightloss. *shrugs*L0L. I dont get it too. She should be grateful someone commended her. I guess she must have thought it was a reverse psychology thing where she thought maybe that the thin girl is insulting her that she will never be as thin as her. She must have quite a low self esteem to think that eh :dunno

you know what if I can jog you can jog... No one wants to see my fat ass either :24::24:I don't run in public because no one wants/needs to see me running :eek
So from now on, we shouldn't also commend the participants of the Exercise challenge in their achievements as some might take it differently?
