That's good to know! I lived in Louisiana last year, and they have bayou's full of alligators. They come out of the bayou's and chase people! A native of Louisiana told me if one ever came after me, to run zig-zag... because they are waaaaaaay faster than us. I assume Crocs are faster, too? :ninja

I've never raced one....They are too big to be too fast I would imagine....they can propel themselves out of the water a long way and very quickly....

If your taken by a croc, its almost always from the boat your in, or dangling out of...or from the side of the riverbank when swimming.....and its usually tourists who dont read the No Swimming signs

Hope you stay safe, Kate. Still worrying about my missus, inlaws and friends in Toowoomba.

Oh yeah, and there arn't crocs in Toowoomba but there are poisonous, pissed off snakes, swimming around in the flood. And the ants flying to escape are a bastard too, especially the green and bull ants which have a nasty bite.

:cool:rolleyes: One of my favorite things to do is to go to Lake Martin and it's full of them too. As long as they aren't nesting they have no interest.

They're kind of pretty to watch.
