You were serious? I thought you were kidding yesterday..... Got any vodka to go w/that? A healthy drink. Yeah, that's it. Enough and you won't care who is screaming at you....:cool

Yeah I was actually serious. I am from a village, most things we make ourself... we have a couple dozen chickens and ducks running around in our backyard... sometimes we have "butchering Sundays" ... I'll show you a pic of it one of these days ;)

Oh cool..... Nothing wrong w/that. We've been thinking of getting a coop for eggs and chicken.

At our old house in Tampa, a neighbor had those Sundays. You'd hear the chicken all week and then on Sunday no chicken sound, but a party going on... Eating good in the neighborhood.

Once of our neighbors down the road also has chickens & a coop. But they're far enough away that I don't hear their freaking rooster in the morning. Our next door neighbor had a rooster for awhile, but he got ate too. I'm glad as I do not relish hearing the damn bird squawk at 4 in the morning....

We are used to those sounds, roosters, cows, donkeys ... all the sounds that they make don't disturb any of our sleep :)
Our village is full of farmers :)

Nothing wrong w/that if you're used to it. Me? Not so much... I like my sleep undisturbed by a damn cock telling me the sun is coming up. No? Really?? It does every single day.... I have a pot for you!

Tho, that said, in the winter time here - when the windows are actually open - we do have sounds. We have cows from across the lake waking up and mooing. We have SandHill cranes squawking (loudly). We have tons of song birds singing. Hawks calling. Squirrels bitching at each other..... At night we hear the owls calling to each other and the trains off in the distance...

But unlike Tampa, no BoomBoom speakers from cars blasting rap. They blast Southern Rock up here. Also, not nearly the amount of sirens. It's pretty darn peaceful in the sticks.
