Re: Week 1 Sep 9,11,12

Donnie, if the following determines the winner, why can't we have the same tie breaker.. Odds of us having the same teams and ties breaker should make this this impossible any way as post would make it the clincher.. Who would want to post second and have the exact match to someone esle ?

(Example: Person A posted first and his win-loss ratio is 12-4. He guessed a total of 40 points scored by both teams for the tie-breaker game. Person B posted after Person A and her win-loss ratio is also 12-4. She guessed a total of 38 points. The actual score of the tie-breaker game was 26 to 13. The total points = 39. Each person's guess is only 1 away from the actual total score. There is a tie. Person A wins the tie because he posted first.)

Because I meant to delete that part of the post :ninja

I don't think having post time be the deciding factor is fair. Just because someone was online when I posted the thread doesn't make their guess "better" than somebody else's.

It should say (and I'll edit the OP) that the closest guess to the actual score without going over will be the winner. So in the example you used, Person B would be the winner.

Re: Week 1 Sep 9,11,12

I don't think the tie breaker should ever be changed.

Its the first week, nothing wrong with cutting people some slack. If anybody is worried about an unfair advantage from others seeing their picks, I strongly encourage the section of the OP titled Alternative Posting or something like that.

The results are updated for yesterday's games. Double-check your posts though and make sure I didn't screw up somewhere. Looks like it's going to be really close and come down to the tie-breaker between several people.

Actually, it's over.

He has a one game lead and everybody that is within a game of him have the same teams as him for Monday Night.

Prick wins Week 1.

Unless not picking a game counts against him. He bolded both teams in one game.

:eek Did not notice that... I was just counting the RED teams.

This is going to be interesting.

So... looked at from a GREEN perspective, four teams have 10 wins and all of them have the same picks for Monday night.

So, it'll come down to points.
