Was Noah insane or a traitor for finishing the Ark?

think about this: god supposedly destroyed the world because it became worse, i.e. Sodom and Gomorrah and other bad things supposedly happened. If you don't know what those are, google it. Ok now god supposedly destroyed the world because of people supposedly becoming bad people, gay people, murderers and adulterers (i'm sure i left out a few, i haven't been to church in a while). OK so now why didn't god destroy the world AGAIN after the internet was invented and people started posting about horrible things online, i.e. "bad" pornography? (you know what porn i'm talking about that churchies don't like... if you don't oh well) Murder is sure at a higher rate than the "great flood" times... Have we not pissed god off to warrant another flood? That's why i don't believe it.

I have to laugh at Christians who thing their God a winner even as He looks like a loser.
I like to post this to them as they wait for big clean up #2.

Is God and His works perfect.
The way many Christian see God is to see Him screwing up heaven with evil.
Strike one.
They then see God screwing up man's beginning in Eden.
Strike two.
They then see God cleaning house in Noah's day with Genocide and starting over.
Strike three.
They now wait for His return at end time to clean house yet again.
Strike four.
Strike four?
God plays by His own rules I guess.
You and I both know that this view must be false if God‘s works are as perfect as scripture indicates.
To my way of thinking, God gets things right the first time and every time.
This is why He has not and will not return. His perfect systems are here today the same way that they were here in the beginning. He judged Eden as good.
It is just to us to see it. I do. Even with sin and evil and woes, all is perfect and humming along exactly as God wants it to. I call it perfection in evolution.
Did your version of God get it right or does He need to return to fix things.

Regards

I think there are plenty of logical reasons not to believe the Bible is the divine illumination of truth that describes the human race's relationship with the Christian defined God. This statement can be applied to most (all?) organized religions.

However, it's not a black/white issue. Just because humans may have gotten it wrong, does not mean there is no spiritual existence, no parallel universes, or alternate realities. All you have to do is read about dark matter, dark flow, or just read up on what we know about the Universe as compared to what we don't know, and you'll realize that committing to a particular religious based belief is mostly a big guess.

right on

If Noah believed in the sanctity of human life, and lived by Jesus’ command to do to your neighbor as yourself....he would refuse to build the ark. It is a moral issue, Had Noah done that, God would have had to kill everyone, or no one. This sort of moral position is upheld occasionally when a person refuses to back down, even at the cost of his life. We revere a person like this, call them heroes. This is NOT the cloth Noah was cut from.

ok.....easy really, god creates man and animals, man fucks up,god kills man and saves animals

I wonder what kind of moral choices animals face? When a police dog saves his human partner, does he realize his life is in danger and moves forward as part of a moral choice or is he just doing what he's been trained to do?
