Says you. Not everybody feels that way.Yeah, but pride in being of a certain nationality is a little obtuse.

And you can't find one single thing anywhere to be proud of??? Not one single thing??? I find that hard to believe...but to each his/her own.I have things to be proud of, just not what this world is today. It's not that I choose to be negative, more of a fact that the world just is that way, it has severe problems, more than the average person knows. I feel lucky to have what I have, but more unlucky that some person in a third world country is thinking of people in my country thinking "Those greedy bastards made us poor", which is the truth. No one should have to live that way, it's not a case of "That's just the way it is", it should be a case of "That's never how it should be". The way we live is destructive, so I don't support anything that wants to support that. It's not negativity, it's just the realisation that the world isn't perfect, and extremely far from it, I mean, incredibly...

People should be thinking along the lines of global nationality. We are all humans and need the same shit, why fight against each other and be segregated?
:homo:I haven't read your original post b/c...well, b/c I never read your posts. But to answer the title of the thread, yes I am...and I really couldn't care less WHAT you think about my country since, from the smatterings of postings that I *have* read from you, you seem to be pretty far out of touch w/ reality. Have a great day!!!

The fall of Ben Ali has accomplished one thing nonetheless: it has exposed the corrupt common denominator of every regime in the Arab world. They are all, in effect, mafia states—entire nations run by families for their own benefit. Whether they call themselves republics or monarchies, whether they are allied to the United States or opposed to it, are on the list of states supporting terrorism or fighting it, have made peace with Israel or not, they are all family businesses. Whether they claim to be secular or follow Sharia or try to chart a course in between, their governance has less in common with the Magna Carta than it does with La Cosa Nostra.
Which of these dictatorships were not at some point supported by the united states?
