We had a war in Iraq and the United States citizens hardly made a peep. We told the World that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. It was a lie and our government knew it was a lie. Where is the recrimination on this? We still sit silent while hundreds of thousands are born deformed or dead from the Depleted Uranium we used to poison their country. This uranium which has been reduced from explosions to microns of.0.2 size. It's in the dust, the water, the plants. It has a half-life of 400,000 years. Iraq mothers and fathers no longer ask if the baby is a boy or a girl, they ask if it's normal. Over ¼ of the people are refuges from Iraq. Estimates of civilian deaths range from 200,00 to over a million. Over half of the population have been displaced. Their infrastructure has been destroyed. They have very little gas, electricity and medical supplies. All in the name of bringing “Freedom to the Iraqis” Now we are in Afghanistan bringing carnage to that nation. We spend half our budget on military spending. We used to support the Taliban when they were fighting the Soviet Union. Now, since we want to build an oil pipeline through their country (Called TAPI), we are at war with them. We could be there for decades. They are now our premiere enemy (besides the insurgents in Iraq that are still shooting at our 50,000 troops. Politicians aren't stupid. Many of our forefathers waned us about this. They wrote it on paper. Let me give you a few of their quotes. Please read these words with care. These are our founding fathers and their vision of our nation is well worth reading today. Thomas Jefferson “All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people to remain silent.” “Dependance begets subservience and venality, suffocate the germ of virtue, and prepares fit tools for the designs of ambition.” “Educate and inform the whole mass of the people...They are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our society.” “If there is one principle more deeply rooted in the mind of every American, it is that we should have nothing to do with conquest”. “The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to tome with the blood of patriots and tyrants”. John Adams “ Liberty cannot be preserved without general knowledge among the people...” “ There is never a democracy that did not commit suicide, We are the only real aristocracy in the world: the aristocracy of money”. Benjamin Franklin “By failing to prepare, you are planing to fail. They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little security shall have neither liberty or security.” “There was never a good war or a bad peace.” The strictest law sometimes becomes the severest injustice... “ All wars are follies, very expensive and very mischievous ones”. George Washington “Over grown military establishments are under any form of government inauspicious to liberty, and are to be regarded as particularly hostile to republican liberty.” “If the Freedom of speech is taken away, then dumb and silent we will be taken away like sheep to the slaughter.” “Government is not reason; it is not eloquent, it is force. Like fire it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master.” “It will be found an unjust and unwise jealousy to deprive a man of his natural liberty upon the supposition he may abuse it” “My first wish is to see this plague of mankind, war, banished from the Earth.” “The Constitution vests the power of declaring war in Congress; therefore no offensive expedition of importance can be undertaken until after they have deliberated upon the subject and authorized such a measure.” These are but a few of our founding father's thoughts. They have stood the test of time. Our present government does not want us to understand what was put in writing centuries ago. Congress no longer declares war, it's done by the Authorization of Force that scarcely a congressman will go against on the assumption that he may be disloyal. The mainstream media fills us with garbage. If you want to know what is truly going on in the World you must seek out news on the internet or World news in the early morning. I am ashamed of my country. We perform extraordinary renditions (kidnap people), we torture people, we hold people indefinitely without charges, and the government lies to its own people, We have become a nation of killers. We indiscriminate between legitimate targets and unarmed civilians. We are spending our children's and grandchildren's future by this unending expenditures on military hardware. As John F. Kennedy once said; “Mankind must put and end to war before war puts an end to mankind”. You may be proud of your country but I'm not. I would like to give you some sobering facts that I borrowed from Michael Snyder. They are worth noting about the economic condition in this nation. http://www.countercurrents.org/gatto190111.htm

The USA has balls and took the asshole out....Would sure be nice if some of that nations in that area werent so coward and would have done it.
But as we know there are no real men from such areas...real men dont send kids in with exploding vests.
Real men face the enemy unlike the cowards that use terrorists approaches to do killing.

While I am at it fuck the taliban as well...bunch of killing pricks....fruitcake killing freaks....Real Islam as they call it...Kill the non Islam and the lesser muslims..fucking shameful bastards...they want to play cops judge and jury.

America a land where people still have some values as well as balls

I hardly think this is about Saddam...this is about the USA's ridiculous tactics it has used to gain control of the resources of the Middle East, all while committing war crimes. What used to be first class education and hospitals have been fucked up, women no longer are in the work force, several civilians have been pushed under the poverty line, not to mention the thousands that have been killed for no reason.
I think it's the act of a dickhead to just go into a country/area just randomly shooting people from the top of a roof in the hope it will kill the minority 2% they were after in the first place. Wow, those idiots sure are bad at math, specifically probability. Pretty much what those troops do.

And everyone whinges when they fight back...well of course they are. Innocent people have died unnecessarily because one huge-arse country in the West is greedy. All they want is oil, it was exposed once, it will be exposed again. I'd hate to let those deadshits get away with being murderers.

No I didn't read all of it, but it's basically stuff I've heard before I was assuming. If anyone's heard the speech by Dr Dahlia Wasfi, it says the same stuff, but more well-spoken.

We dont control the resources....just something a liberal started a long time ago...We pay dearly for oil here
As far as war crimes...no problem..The armies from several nations went in after years of cat and mouse games..the UN inspectors gave much advice on this matter.
Many nations went in for the "raid"...probably including your own..the total nations involved was over 30.

Are you saying the US armies and its allies go on rooftops and just start shooting randomly?
and in doing such they hope the shots will kill the minority they went in for?

The ones that fought back are the enemy..no one went in after the citizens....Fact is the people hate to see us leave.

Saddam was just an Arab US-backed dictator, just like Mubarak. And the US turned against him when they no longer needed him or when the status quo changed, just like Mubarak.
There's nothing to defend really about the US politics in the middle-east. It's simply psychopathic.

While may have not been in the scope at one time..he was told repeatably to comply, which he did not for years he dodged inspections etc ..none the less he was a prick that needed to be taken out.
The involvement of the US in the mideast is far from psychpathic ,,,very trouble nations that were in need of a new govt

You make little sense, mate. He was US backed, that is a fact, research it.
The involvement of the US is psychopathic, it's purely criminal. It backed and supported everything that is corrupt in the Middle-east, literally. From Israel's racism, to Mubarak, Saddam, Ben Ali, Abdallah, Hafez el Assad and all other dictators' rule, to Saudi Arabia's Wahhabi Islamism.

It's vicious to even defend these politics.

Edit: or plain ignorant, I suppose, which you most likely are.

He was US backed at one time...that ended years before the invasion..he agreed to inspections after setting the oil wells on fire...he retreated and agreed...we dont support the middle east in regards to barbarianism,
Israel doesnt suffer racism...fact is there is a substantial population of Arabs in Israel.
I do agree about Saudi Arabia however...IMO the relation ship exists in the event they are ever needed in aid of other Mideast conflicts

Edit:
as far as your edit goes...It only further goes to show how uneducated you are on the matter;)

Not reading all that garbage in the OP but I'll say that there are many things I'm not proud of about my country, despite those problems it's still the best country in the world, and I would choose to be homeless here before I would live in a lot of other countries.

I won't believe I am free just because I am told so. I'm not proud of anything in the West, and other parts of the world too really. This whole world is built on stupidity and glorifying profit and wealthiness. Ugly. Every time I see or feel money I feel disgusted. And for god's sake, if you don't think that any system you live in involving power is not corrupted, that is very close-minded, and blind. Just typical mouldable human minds falling prey to their scams ;)

All governments are corrupt, I don't think any ADULT believes otherwise, none of us are really "free".

If you can't think of anything you're proud of then, I'm sorry, but you must be a VERY negative person. Do I think my country is w/o it's problems??? OH HELL NO. But at the end of the day am I proud to say "I am an American" and to call this country my home??? HELL YES.

Yeah, but pride in being of a certain nationality is a little obtuse.

I have things to be proud of, just not what this world is today. It's not that I choose to be negative, more of a fact that the world just is that way, it has severe problems, more than the average person knows. I feel lucky to have what I have, but more unlucky that some person in a third world country is thinking of people in my country thinking "Those greedy bastards made us poor", which is the truth. No one should have to live that way, it's not a case of "That's just the way it is", it should be a case of "That's never how it should be". The way we live is destructive, so I don't support anything that wants to support that. It's not negativity, it's just the realisation that the world isn't perfect, and extremely far from it, I mean, incredibly...
