In defense of Dana... I got a PM from him earlier in the day. He's here, but has chosen to not post to this thread today. I think that's smart of him. That means he's thinking. He'd rather read, and sit on his fingers, than to read, and shoot himself in the foot. ;)

i have some browser problems sometimes that causes me to lose a post. i had composed something a lot less harsh that got lost that way.

what i said there was not to draw inferences about what i might be thinking based on something i post without comment on the topic from somebody else, which you did do. nothing i was terribly offended about and your supposition wasn't something that was that far off base.

steve's blog was a comment on the nature of virtual friendship. my response to retro pretty much says what i was saying in the response to you that got lost about the matter at hand in this community.

Nah, it means he'd rather whine and bitch and complain to the staff about things that have been said to him. Things that aren't different from things that were said in this thread actually. :24:

the question i've had to ask over the years when i stick my nose into these bash fests is who benefits from any of this?

do any of you realize how much the computer time for all of this nonsense would have cost thirty years ago?

where is it useful to anybody for all this negative blah-blah woof-woof so many people seem to thrive on?
 
I really wanted to stay out of this thread today but I do want to say one thing. I never attacked you personally retro but you took it upon yourself to go out of your way and neg rep me like a coward and start claiming utter bullshit. Don't like being reported to the mods then smarten up. I get the same treatment you get when I step out of line.

What else would you expect? If you poke a dog with a stick he's going to snap and so he should. Sometimes a damn good bite is in order to stop the stick poking.
 
You know, I couldn't care less if Dana dosent have a job. Dana is the one who keeps moaning about how unfulfilling his life is which is why many people here feel that one major reason for this is he isn't working. If Dana is happy where he is, he wouldn't be moaning all the time.
People have tried to be helpful and offer him advice about how to enjoy his life more but all he does is come out with a load of pathetic excuses about why he cant change things. Dana is part of the negative blame game society.
So Dana, keep living your boring, unfulfilled life but stop moaning about it, it's entirely your own fault. And stop moaning about people being rude to you when you started off a thread to insult people.
 
As far as I am concerned most people have the ability to work or contribute to society in some way even if it is very minimal, end of story.

People who sit around home day in and day out sponging off the government and complaining about it need to step the fuck up and become and adult. Work may not be fun, but it IS worthwhile and you will benefit from it in the long run.

(This is not aimed at you Dana as I don't know you or your situation. Just a generalization)
