Uh, he certainly did under the law and *if* he even thought he was going for the gun.
Ability != obligation
Uh, he certainly did under the law and *if* he even thought he was going for the gun.
That alone is what caused the altercation to take place... why is it that you've refused to address this, despite my bringing it up multiple times.
we actually do not know if zimmerman still continued to pursue trayvon after that call. Zimmerman has stated that he was actually on his way back to the vehicle when trayvon came back up to HIM
HAHA. Heck. For the longest time people thought he wasn't even arrested though. But he was. Just like standard procedure. Like I said from the get go. THe cops are not a bunch of country bumkin racists that patted little Zippy on the butt and told him to go his merry way.
I am still kinda in the air on this one..he was in handcuffsHe was never arrested. He was brought in for questioning.
Regarding the hoodie...I know hoodies have a connotation of guilt for some reason, but wouldn't the simple fact that the kid didn't want to get wet justify his wardrobe...wasn't it stated it was raining? Why wouldn't he have his hood up?
HAHA. I watched on CNN while they hyper-analyzed the footage too. We just do not know. And that is the thing, we still have very few factual details.
I wore a hoodie this afternoon when I was mowing the lawn. I guess I'm lucky that the neighbors didn't shoot me.
I am still kinda in the air on this one..he was in handcuffs
Granted maybe never formally charged..but took in "against" his will and questioned
I think all anyone here is saying is that the lack of any physical signs of a serious altercation does not corroborate the idea that Zimmerman and Martin got into this horrible struggle which ended in this kid being shot in self-defense. If Zimmerman, being bigger in every way than Martin, was being beaten so badly that he felt he needed to cry out for help, then there SHOULD be some physical sign of a struggle on his body, of which there is none.
I do not have an opinion one way or the other in the whole situation as it's become a ridiculous mess of a case and having not been there I do not know exactly what happened. It just doesn't seem as though this video falls in line with the story that's being told (whether it's Zimmerman's word-for-word account or a media fabrication, I do not know and cannot say.) So perhaps you should calm down a little and look at it in that objective manner instead of getting your panties in a wad because someone else's personal experience with a fight does not line up with your childhood in a shitty neighborhood or whatever. You're not the only one who grew up in a shady part of town, my friend.![]()
One dumb ass person, can't help but wonder how many more of them there are?

There's nothing to be in the air about. There's a very clear and distinct legal difference.
If you are arrested, you are informed what you are being charged with, you are told you are being "placed under arrest," and you are read your Miranda rights. For you to be arrested, a determination has been made that you have committed a crime and the process has formally begun to prosecute you for it.
There are many other circumstances where police are allowed and/or required to hold someone in custody, but they are not arrested.
Doesnt explain the handcuffs if he wasnt arrested
Well for sake of simplicity...handcuffed and questioned for 5 hours then released equals arrest but not charged LOLYou don't have to be arrested to have cuffs on. You can be detained. Different things.
