What is it it that you do for your paychecks, the greenbacks, moolah, cabbage?
Personally i work for my dad, I'm a digital telephone technician. We sell, install, program and maintain phone systems under the ESI brand. We also service pretty much anything to do with business/industrial, giving referals for residential customers to a friend of my dads.
We work on WIN, ESI, Comdial, Nortel, AT&T partners, Merlins, single line (4 line phones) you name it I've probably programmed on it.
My passion is installing the ESI, it's so fucking simple that a 10 year old with basic programming knowledge could do it.
I'm also a general laborer, we do the wire runs needed for phones and networks, we setup networks and maintain computers (sometimes).
Two days ago I was running a fish tape through a giant pipe from a phone room to outside just under the Dmarc (demarcation site, where dialtone is brought from the provider to the customers building), and had to dig a 3' deep, 3' wide hole to expose that feed pipe enough to get the wire through it.
