I'm an elementary education major currently interning in a 5th grade class.

My wife did the same thing. Elementary education, and her first interning was done with a 5th grade class. Keep it up, you're almost done.

PS: Come down like the law on your first class for the first few weeks. If you try to be their friend, it'll be an uphill battle all year. Establish your dominance, and THEN you can all have a good time together.

I work at pretending I'm retired. It's looks good to the outside world, but realistically, (surprise, surprise), it's actually not working! :eek :confused

Since I got sick, the government pays me (not very much) to stay at home. I'm doing better now than when I first went on the Disability Support Pension & some work would be nice but I'm also stuck on an Oxygen Concentrator.

I have worked as an Electrician & Quality Technician in a naval Dockyard, Quality Assurance Manager & Logistics Manager in a Plastics Plant.

I'm loving it so far. I volunteered in some of my students second grade classes so that's been interesting. But my students say I'm "mean" because I don't let them talk whenever they want.
