Major League Baseball being pressed to move 2011 All-Star Game from Phoenix
Add to that the ridiculous idea of boycotting Arizona Iced Tea (nevermind the fact that the company is from fucking New York), the city of San Francisco boycotting all travel to Arizona, and the whole ridiculous uproar over this. Yes, it's an absolutely horrible thing that a state stand up for itself and dare enforce the federal laws that exist and empower it's local law enforcement agencies to be able to do so. So horrible for a sovereign country to actually enforce its laws and protect its borders. How fucking dare they. Obviously, the entire Arizona state legislature are nothing but racists, and it's just like Nazi Germany as some radical leftists have claimed.
Now I hope Texas and New Mexico take Arizona's lead and enact their own laws along the same line, so we can force the federal government to actually do something about this and enforce our borders. We can worry about health care and a whole host of social entitlement programs that aren't under the purview of the federal government as set forth by the federal government, but it's taken a state saying enough is enough to force our porous borders and the people living in this country illegally to put this at the forefront of people's minds. The defense of our borders from invasion (and it can be argued that people entering the country illegally is a form of invasion) is part of the Constitution:
Article Four, Section Four, Clause Two: Protection from invasion and domestic violence
