GIA uses the bible and what it says to base his threads on. Whether or not he does what it says is irrelevant.
Sure.
I have to quote them to show how stupid they are.
What should I quote? Hamlet.

I actually have to quote you where God said that A & E became as Gods?
I see you know your bible well.
Nice deflection again showing that you refuse to think for yourself. Rather pathetic when even simple answers or questions baffle you.
Have another go at deflection.
Is becoming as Gods, as God said, a good thing or not?

To the enlightened mind, it is clearly a good thing. That is where we agree. However, in the story, God saw it as a bad thing. This indicates to me the author of the story did not have an enlightened mind. Unless you propose the author wished to portray God in a negative light which seems unlikely. That seems to be where we disagree. But you and I agree on a lot more than we disagree. :thumbup
OK BornReady, where did God claim if Adam & Eve ate of the fruit they would be as gods?
I don't know if he did. It's been awhile since I read the story. But God did say Adam & Eve could discern good from evil now or something like that. In the story God was displeased by that. I think it is good we can discern good from evil. It means we have a moral compass. But I should point out I don't actually believe this story. It is a myth but is still valuable in that it gives us a peek into the ancient Hebrew mind or at least one of their minds.

God did not till after the fact.
It was the talking snake who gave them more truth of the positive consequences before the fact.
God was guilty of not fully disclosing those consequences and therefore lie to A & E.

It all happens in Genesis 2 and 3.
As usual, non-theists know more of the bible than so called believers.

Which one are you? Where does God say what you claim?
Read the story or be gone.
I have no time for the illiterate or the mentally lazy.
