Theist. Who is your Lord and Monarch? Satan or Jesus?

So his giving man dominion in Eden was a lie and a sham was it?

Jesus and his temptation was also a biblical lie then as Satan had nothing to tempt Christ with.

What does the bible say?

If as you say God is our king, then why is the king allowing 6 million of us to starve to death each and every year.

Does our king not care?

When you are in the dark do you turn on a light or do you sit in the dark a blame God?

When you are cold to you find heat to warm yourself or do you sit cold blaming God?

Your silly premise conflicts with reality.

My view is that G.I.A. makes statements about the bible but fails to back them up with how he came to such conclusions. He proves nothing so his statements are pure opinion.

So is the bible. The opinion of men who were guessing.

Whose opinion should be looked at for guidance.

The Jewish one of a God who elevates man in the beginning, or the Christian usurper's opinion who sees a God who puts man down with a fall?

How did you come to this conclusion? Quote the scriptures you are interpreting.

The conclusion is not based on scripture but on the facts.

If you are asking for the source which is what I think you want then------

A & E became as God's, God's own words.

Do you think that a good thing or a bad thing?
I can give an unqualified yes or not to that simple question.
If you cannot then something is wrong with the way you think. IMO.

Judaism has had the honor of providing scriptures which have been venerated as sacred for thousands of years. Today people are questioning the value of these stories. This article reminds me of a man in a sinking boat madly bailing water to try to stay afloat. Consider the following quote from the article.

Is the narrative literal or figurative, and is the Serpent an animal, a demon or merely the symbolic representation of Sin? Various have been the answers to these questions; and none of them are of cardinal importance to the Faith of the Jew. There is nothing in Judaism against the belief that the Bible attempts to convey deep truths of life and conduct by means of allegory.

In other words, I don't care how you interpret this story so long as you continue to value it.

Venerated by Christians yes, but with a reversed interpretation than what was originally given to it by the Jews.

Jews did not take their scriptures literally and all was subject to Midrash.

Here is a sample of such.

So you don't have your own opinion but you are parroting someone else's.

Logic and reason? I thought you were going by what the bible says. State what the bibles says or prove yourself a hypocrite.

I actually have to quote you where God said that A & E became as Gods?

I see you know your bible well.

Nice deflection again showing that you refuse to think for yourself. Rather pathetic when even simple answers or questions baffle you.

Have another go at deflection.

Is becoming as Gods, as God said, a good thing or not?

I'm probably taking this out of context because I haven't been following along. But I don't think GIA has enough respect for the bible to do what it says. Not to say that he isn't spiritual. But I can't imagine him having a sacred text.

I do have some respect for the bible as a book of wisdom but it loses all of it's wisdom if read rhe way literalists read it.

Especially the O T. The Jews read it right and, for instance, saw the wisdom of Eden as our elevation and not our fall.
