i reinstalled xp about two weeks ago.. i reinstalled it in 30 minutes (not including format time for the hd). After that is installed, i can do waht i want while windows update is running. All my program exe's are kept on my slave sata hd. I could do it again and be online in a half hour

I just installed ubuntu on my new (well at least to me) ibm laptop. Installed quick and easily.

Well joker14 it seems that you just need some patience. You can't fix your virus problems instantly, so you're just going to buy a new one. Ubuntu took too long to download, so you gave up. Patience.


When I downloaded Ubuntu it took me like 40 minutes. Just let it run in the background, while you do other things.
