What time did you have in mind at setting out?
Ideally, I want to be on the road by 6am. Realistically, it will probably be closer to 7am. I could leave later and it wouldn't be a big deal but when I do road trips for some reason I'm keen on leaving as early as possible.

My MIL and her fella left this morning for Yellowknife they had said they wanted to leave at 5am.. they got out of here at 7am..

6am is my limit. Considering I'm the worst morning person ever, I think I'm doing fantastic when I can get myself going that early.

Oh I agree.. but MIL gets up at 4am daily to go to work so it's normal for her...
I have to get up about 4am on Monday I have to be at the airport by 7am and I have to call a taxi.. so I have to make sure they are here by 20 after 6.. to make sure I get there on time.. I have no faith in them at all..

Drive safely... then again, I've seen what you're like on the ice. Makes me wish I'd taken a sedative

Made it here in 8 1/2 hours...a new record. Beat the GPS by an hour and a half. As an added bonus I have phone reception here, which is new.

Here's a little story from my drive down to Kentucky. Such friendly people there are in Indiana. :ninja I was coming up on a semi and there was a car about 5 car lengths in front of me and we were going roughly the same speed. There was also a car following the semi. The car following the semi waited for the car in front of me to pass and then it swung out into the left lane to pass the semi and in the process cut me off, causing me to put the brakes on. So I tailed him as he passed the semi. Once he was clear of the semi he all of a sudden braked sharply, giving me a brief second of fear because I nearly hit him. Then he gave me the finger and went back into the right lane and I proceeded to pass him and continue on my merry way. I guess he didn't like me tailing him. Perhaps he shouldn't have cut me off then, hmm?

I spent a boatload of money at Breyerfest today. :ninja I had two special run tickets and got the four special runs I wanted. :thumbup It was freaking hot and I drank lots of lemonade. Tomorrow's going to be good times with Thorny! :thumbup
