I just wish Lucas would offer the films in Blu-Ray without changing the films. He mucked around with the Special Edition so Greedo shot at Han first and now he has changed the scene where Vader turns on the Emperor. Leave good enough alone dickhead.
well, a$ long a$ he can make $$$ of it, there will alway$ be an audience for it....a$$hole Luca$

I knew about the Greedo scene. What did he change about the Vader scene?

Inserted the awful Vader NOOOOO!!!!!! when the Emperor is shocking Luke. Twice actually. Right before he turns against him then even louder as he picks him up.

HAN SHOT FIRST!!!!!!!11

I hate how Lucas has to keep making changes to the stupid movies every time a new "special edition" or something else comes up. This time around he's changed the sand people scene in IV, and then even more disgustingly... added Anakin's emo, "nooooooooooooooooo" to Vader when he saves Luke from Palpatine killing him. Oh, and Yoda is all computer generated now in at least one of the movies.

edit: just noticed the earlier discussion regarding Han and Vader.

The prequels are fucking terrible. I despise them, I won't even watch them. I swear. I would buy the originals if they were offered in a set, but it's the whole saga instead. So I'm stuck with Jar Jar fucking Binks who almost killed the franchise. George Lucas can rot in hell for that character. :fing27

The Empire Strikes Back is my favorite.

I agree completely on Empire Strikes Back and Jar Jar. My preferences for the movies are...

Empire Strikes Back
A New Hope
Revenge of the Sith
Return of the Jedi
The Phantom Menace
Attack of the Clones

RotS and RotJ are about equal, but I give the edge for RotS because there aren't any fucking Ewoks.

I grew up watching ewoks bounce around in a forest with Princess Leia and my dad took us to see the new ones when they came out. I've always loved Ewan Macgregor, but it's a testament to George Lucas' shit-poor writing and directing skills that he made the man into a wooden plank when it came to emotion. And don't even get me started on Hayden one-facial-expression-for-all-situations Christiansen.

The thing I hated most had to be Padme's death. Robot Chicken totally nailed that with the Dr Ball scene! She's just had two kids, born into a hostile environment, and yet she apparently had nothing more to live for? It would have been far more satisfying, or at least made more sense, if she'd been shot dead while trying to escape, or had been assassinated while vulnerable after childbirth, or anything less shit than 'well, now these helpless babies are out of my body I'm sure they can manage. Goodbye, cruel world!'
