I grew up watching ewoks bounce around in a forest with Princess Leia and my dad took us to see the new ones when they came out. I've always loved Ewan Macgregor, but it's a testament to George Lucas' shit-poor writing and directing skills that he made the man into a wooden plank when it came to emotion. And don't even get me started on Hayden one-facial-expression-for-all-situations Christiansen.
The thing I hated most had to be Padme's death. Robot Chicken totally nailed that with the Dr Ball scene! She's just had two kids, born into a hostile environment, and yet she apparently had nothing more to live for? It would have been far more satisfying, or at least made more sense, if she'd been shot dead while trying to escape, or had been assassinated while vulnerable after childbirth, or anything less shit than 'well, now these helpless babies are out of my body I'm sure they can manage. Goodbye, cruel world!'
