This is one show I just don't get!
I've tried to watch it, given the amount of media hype it gets I had to give it a go.
I found it to be pretty boring. I suppose if you really love that style of music it may be more interesting. (IE: mainstream, mediocre pop crap that the radio stations shove down your throat anyway.)
I've always been a bit eclectic with my music and I don't think there's enough of a variety there.
Besides, the judges drive me mad. Simon is a flat out prick. Paula is a drunk or something....who really knows what she's on? And Randy? Had anyone even heard of him prior to this show? And he's a bit of a self imposed stereotype. "I'm feelin' ya dawg" Just sounds ludicrous coming from a middle aged man.
I do find the very first few days funny. The auditions phase. Just who in the hail told some of those people they had talent? And why, oh why would they go on National TV and make complete and utter fools of themselves?
It's a bit like a train wreck, you just have to look!
